Points:
*50 - 99 pages = 0.5 points
*100 - 199 pages = 1 point
*200 - 299 pages = 2 points
*300 - 399 pages = 3 points
*400 - 499 pages = 4 points
*500 - 599 pages = 5 points
*600+ pages = 6 points
(maximum of 6 points per book)
*Buddy reads DOUBLE your points score, so a 300 page book + buddy read = 6 points. 600 page book + buddy read = 12 points. (Bonus points for buddy reads will only be given if the buddy read has taken place in our group.)

Rules:
* This challenge will run from Feburary 1st to Feburary 28th, with results announced on March 1st.
*Books started before Feburary can be used, but you must only claim the number of pages read in February.
*Buddy reads must still have a minimum of 4 comments to count.
*4 detailed updates can be used instead of a review.
*Re-reads are allowed as long as its been at least a year since you last read the book.

Me too! The end of January is the Chinese New Year (where we receive red packets with money from our elders), so I'm starting off February with money to buy books. Sounds good, right? :D Hopefully life will allow me some time to finish reading books in Feb.

Hey Quirks :)

For me, day 1 has ended. I'm 80% done with my first book. Will finish it in the morning. Pretty good start of the month for me.

So glad January is done. It sucked, for my reading.

I hate when the 1st is on a work day for me, ill be lucky to get to 25% into a book on work days :/ but i have the next three days off so i should get a few done :)

I was going to read today, but got into a crazy cleaning mood, and purged my cabinets, fridge, and pantry. But now i have to do tomorrow is laundry so reading i will be doing.

I'm reading all of these right now 3 out of the 4 are BRs, so i'm hoping to finish all but QofS tomorrow.

Thats a lot of books to finish in a day. I could never manage it.

Im listening to Sky Key, only have about 3hrs left, so I'll finish that pretty easily. Forest of Secrets and The Master Magician are on the short side, maybe 4hrs of reading to finish them. A cold is kicking my behind so im staying in all day today. :/

I feel like BRs are needed so badly, but hard for me to find ones to join or get others to agree to do reads with me. I just joined another today for a book i really don't want to read but eff it, need the points!

I finally did a BR for Caraval.

Worth reading? I've seen mixed reviews! i might join if you think it's worth cramming into my other BRs :)

I enjoyed it, but it took about 100 pages for the story to really get interesting.

BRs make a huge difference. Almost all my reads this month are BRs.

I have some lined up, but most of the ones on there i've already read or i'm on the hold list at the library :/ This is why i'm probably going to take a break from here for a few months. Seems harder for me to get the points i need for my group.

You could try a medium or fun team. Less pressure that way.

1 week has passed. How is everyone doing?

I'm reading 4 books right now, hoping to finish all of them tomorrow and then get a few more done this weekend.

Doing good. Just started Scythe and I'm gonna try to finish as soon as I can.

I have 4 i need to add to the review thread but work has me doing like 4 different roles tonight and i won't have enough down time to write the reviews so hopefully tomorrow night i can get to them.

I've been battling a horrible cold all week, probably killed my liver with all the cold meds. I'm feeling better today so hoping its going away now :/

Man, cold sucks... the life out of you. And meds are like stuffing cotton in your brain. Really hope you get better soon.

I have one more review to write/add and i'm caught up, thank god for Large Print editions

And i just looked at the scores, shouldn't have done that at all. F**k

We're totally doomed in the challenge department. I've accepted it.

I doubt i'll finish any books tomorrow since it's a work day and i'm already tried as hell and i still have to drag through 4 more hours of work.
