The Not a Book Club Club discussion

Part 3

Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Part 3 (Chapters 7-12).

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

This section was largely uninteresting with Perrin's people finally finding the Shaido.

Faile's part was slightly more interesting than Perrins. She almost gets raped but is saved by Rolan who also helps her when she is punished when her friends get caught and her knife is found.

Another pretty boring section with Elayne trying to gather support. She is pregnant now and being babied because of it. She does work out an advantageous deal to get a few wind finders left behind when the others leave.

I found this all pretty slow and of little significance to the overall plot.

Apart from the near rape you already mentioned, the only other thing I can think to note is that Elayne has the support of 4 new major houses, but that each is headed by kids even younger than Elayne herself.

The kids part is actually well done as it is showing the effects of the fighting between the houses. Not the most interesting characters though.

Crap. I think that's next section.

Ya Perrin finally finds shaido but they are huge in numbers.

But although their number is huge but not all of them are following Savannah gladly as the incident regarding Faile shows.

Then starts the section with stupid daughter heir and sister Aviendha, I think both should marry each other and leave Rand with Min.
