Happy to reciprocate.

Who is The First Madonna and what is the mystery surrounding her?

To unlock this secret, Nicolina Fabiani, the Pulitzer prize winning journalist teams up with David Baron, a Professor of Ancient Languages, whom she suspects is more than he appears to be on the surface, to search in Ancient Temples sites throughout the Middle East?

What is the Knights of Malta’,s connection to the Templar Knights?

And why do they covet The First Madonna and her secret?

As Nicolina and David stay one step ahead of her old nemesis, the Knights of Malta, they uncover a revelation about the origins of mankind and the power that men are willing to kill for.

This eagerly awaited sequel in the Nicolina Fabiani series, is a fast paced, well researched thriller, reaching a shattering climax in an archaeological dig in Anatolia, which is rewriting mankind’s history; and where The First Madonna reveals her power and what it will mean for a world poised the brink of disaster.

Hey, Ann, how about a swap?

message 34: by Len (new)

Len Robertson | 76 comments Got a great review for my fantasy novel, Questing for Dragons, and it reminded me of one stark reality, a well written review is more important than the stars one might give it. When I read another's book, I'll do my level best.

Anyone with a fantasy or sci fi novel not about vampires, were wolves or dystopias, consider me as a reviewer.

On another subject, I quite Game of Thrones when they did two things, they passed off German Shepards as dire wolves and they had a tough, experienced character behave stupidly when he was confronted by two armored men-at-arms seeking the young Stark girl. He threatened them and allowed them to leave. Of course, they returned with an army and killed him.

Nonsense. In those dangerous days, anyone with half a brain didn't take chances. Since he couldn't be certain to trust them and there was no one around, he'd signal his archers to take them and their horses down, drag the soldiers into the weeds and cut up the horses for meat. If anyone asked, "don't know. Never saw them."

For something really good and different, people should try "Longmire" thats on Netflix. It's about a sheriff in Wyoming whose county borders a Cheyenne reservation. Not to give anything away, its way better than Game of Thrones.

Would happily read and review your book, if you would be able to send me a pdf???? [email protected]

message 37: by Len (new)

Len Robertson | 76 comments Opps. Those with books about Vampires, Werewolves and dystopias, don't consider me a reviewer. I have no idea where the "don't" went in my earlier comment. That leaves a lot. Dragons are good so are other monsters like cyclops and minotaurs.

Back on my "Thrones" rant. If I had been the director, I would have sent my writers into the woods to camp for the night after telling them it's full of bears, cougars and wolves. Then, in the middle of the night, I would have animal handlers with bears, cougars and wolves roam the camp site under the light of the moon with their animals: sniffing around the tents, maybe sticking a head in, entering the tent, that sort of thing. Kodiaks or Grizzlies would be great except it might give the writers heart attacks. A ten foot tall Kodiak that weighs a ton (fat ones weigh more than 2400 lbs) is a sight to behold.

After the commotion settled down, I would then say to the writers, the forests were dangerous back in the day. There were things every bit as dangerous as humans roaming the forests. Now, lets put some reality into the scripts.

message 48: by Stoney (new)

Stoney Compton | 14 comments @Len, I have two very different sf novels for which I seek reviews. "Level Six" Exo-Archaeologist Stoker Payne, adept at uncovering the stories of alien races, found much more than he expected on Kiana. Not only did his crew’s discoveries change everything they knew about the docile Kians, their findings ultimately changed their very lives as well as the expansion of the Coalition of Planets. Sometimes success can cause an unseen defeat. But who, exactly, is the loser?

"Whalesong" is the saga of two disparate beings; 20 years after an asteroid strike, Noah, a Tikeramuit Eskimo from Point Hope, Alaska, and Thinker, a Humpback whale, encounter each other during a whale hunt. For the first time in their lives, another being addresses them via telepathy; something they both thought would never happen. They become allies, face life, growth, love, and monstrous threat together and singly, and in the process save the Earth from a totally ruthless entity.

I will be happy to provide you with a code from Smashwords for either or both in any ebook format you choose. I will happily review any sf or historical novel you hasve written in return.
Caveat: I only want honest reviews and that's also what I provide. No guarantees wanted nor offered.

message 49: by Len (new)

Len Robertson | 76 comments An honest review you will get. Send the codes for both to my email site: [email protected]

Copernican Journey is an adventure sci fi novel. Set in 2046, Jennifer Colbert and Boone Dalton encounter assassins, androids and a Martian plague as they travel to the Red Planet. An accidental blood exchange is crucial to their survival.

It's science fiction in the grand manner. Bits by Frederick Jackson Turner, Cecile Rhodes, Martinus Beijerinck & Lorens Bass-Becking, Albert Einstein, Stephane Udry and others are footnoted. It even has a device that is described fully enough to be accepted as a pending patent by the US Patent Office. The technologies encounted either already exist or will be. And, it has lots of action.

Just use the title Copernican Journey on Smashwords or iTunes and it will pop up.

Whalesong is intriguing, However. SETI has been trying for years to decode the languages of the Orca tribes. They've made enough progress to continue with it. The reason for their interest is the expectation of encountering alien languages and the utterly foreign languages of the Orca, a separate species in a water environment, seems like a good place to start.

Thanks, and please consider my offer!
