Kristianne | 14 comments I'm seeing a trend in many of the books on Bowie's list. The narrator is often dislikable.
As with Herzog, who is so self-concerned and sees, for example, women as angels who serve him or bitches who try to destroy him. Sad man.


Rachel | 30 comments I agree Kristianne about the women characters (angel/whore/bitch), although to his credit at least they are quite complex, particularly Madeleine. They make him look a fool for the most part.
Does anyone else wonder whether Herzog's Ramona inspired Bowie's Ramona in Outside 1.? There's a lot of talk about clothes in both ...
