John Seymour 3. How would you characterize K.’s frame of mind when he leaves the initial inquiry?

Confused and angry, he has no idea what is going on and has been unable to defend himself.

The initial inquiry seemed more like a show to me. First they called him a carpenter which would seem they have the wrong man. K. seems to go on a monologue and does not give the magistrate time to speak. I think if he had listened more maybe some clarity could have come to the meeting. Things ended being no more clear than when they started.

Sushicat | 292 comments It seems as though regardless of what he does, things move unpredictably and inevitably in ominous directions.
