I think I should get an extra badge for providing such educational entertainment.

Both were easy and quick Regency romances, just what I was in the mood for today. Nothing special about either one.

I also finished

I think you deserve a special badge for entertainment, too!! I learned so much during our topper!

Hopping off to bed.

Uh oh! I thought I was going to make it without adding anything. ;oP

I thought I was not going to like this very YA story when I first started it, but by the time I really got into it, it turnrd out to be a very intriguing story. Some wild magic powers and a not very well thought out and emotional decision are the root of the story. Yeah, teen love and all that. I bought this on an ebook sale and it has been sitting in my Nook library for several years. I'm finally glad to be able to put it in my READ shelf.

One of the least reading-est days of the year, as it turned out!

I read The Selection and gave it 3 stars. The book was a quick read, and I enjoyed it even though the plot is fairly predictable. Even so, I'll be reading the next one.

A chronological series of letters written by two boys to Superman.

I read this and gave it 3 stars. It' s set on a small Japanese island towards the end of WW2 and is the diary of a girl who is looking after a Japanese and US soldier who have deserted and are hiding in a cave. very thought provoking. War is so sadly pointless.. I'm sdtill trying to finish my 2nd book so will review properly later on

This is the first-person story of three of South Sudan's "lost boys". Aged five to seven when their journey began, they travelled, along with thousands of other young boys, hoping for relative safety in Ethiopia and then Kenya. It is amazing that any of the boys survived, with the constant dangers they encountered. I found their story incredible and heartbreaking. This was a quick read.

Finished... Yay!!"
Bang on time... I hope!
An excellent read. I need to read more by this Heinlein chap. I loved the style and the premise. I also loved Pete the cat, who was quite a character, and I'm so happy he was well looked after in the end. 4 stars for this one.

I gave the book 5 stars! It is narrated by Music much the same way that < insert book title that just left my brain here > was narrated by Death. There are also short chapters told in a one-sided conversation style from people that personally knew the main character, Frankie Presto. I almost deducted a star because I didn't enjoy the style of these short chapters, but the book was so good I just couldn't do it. Maybe 4.5 stars instead of 5.
This book was the tale of fictional musician Frankie Presto's life and death. It almost reminds me of Forrest Gump in how Frankie is involved with so many different pivotal moments in history. Mostly musical history for Frankie though. As soon as I finished the book I had to look up some of the songs and artists that were referenced in the book. I discovered that Mitch Albom actually managed to have some of the fictional songs in the book recorded professionally and there is a whole album/soundtrack you can purchase that goes with it.

Yep! Me too! Already added 3, including Almeta's!

I read

I haven't added it to my 'read' shelf yet because I'm still undecided about my rating. I enjoyed the story around it all; the mystery, the characters etc but I wasn't a fan of the romance part. Still mulling it over .....
