Ian Miller | 1857 comments Good is in the eye of the beholder. My view is, did I end up thinking that was well worth the time spent reading it. If yes, it was good.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8077 comments I agree with you, Ian. I judge a book, first of all, by how many pages it can hold my interest. I give every book 50 pages to engage me. If it doesn't, I go on to another. I only have so much time left in my life to read, so I don't waste it. If I finish a book, then it's a good one.
