Ross | 1444 comments I have been talking or trying too some radical feminist, as part of my heforshe commitment to reach out to the fractions in the equality debate. Talking with these radicals and mens rights groups, a depressing similar experience. I came to value intersection third wave feminism even more.

Inclusiveness is not only a more noble pursuit but a more effective one. In these times of political shifts towards protect and not share working together is even more important. More has been achieved in the last 2 years, championed by someone we know well, than in 20 years before that is solely down to an inclusive approach.

I do take the point some women feel their struggle has been appropriated and diluted by this but I say find your allies where you can; not only the right thing to do but the most effective in getting the change all feminist and others are working so hard for.

MeerderWörter | 2388 comments You tried talking to some radical feminists? Wow, that's exhausting, I guess.
I think that feminism was at least enriched by the diversity and approach of intersectionality. I was told that from a sociological point of view, intersectionality is the best theory/view of/on the society we live in from a contemporary perspective.

No one is free until all of us are free!

How do you see this as appropriation? I mean, we didn't steal anything, did we?

Bryana | 3 comments I absolutely agree with you that intersectionality between both genders is a very efficient way of fighting for women's rights. The fact that there are still radical feminists and men's rights movements to this day is so dismal and exasperating. If we want feminism to keep moving forward we need to put aside these ideas of the"better' gender and showcase how great it is when these two genders come together to fight for a value that is so crucial; equality.
