Elisabet Norris | 486 comments Numbers have properties that are called communicative, associative, distributive, (etc).
Now...if you were to use only whole numbers to plug in any one of these properties, you would get a tangible value....this is what I mean:

Communicative: 1+1 = 1+1; 2+2 = 2+2; 3+3 =3+3

Associative: 1+1+1
1+1=2
2+1=3
or (1+1)+1
2+1=3

Distributive: 1*(1+1)
1*1 + 1*1
1+1 =2

So...any number from 1 to 9 will yield a tangible result even when used alone.
Now, use zero alone.....

So, the question is...can you say that zero has property when it is used alone?

Will math cease to be math when zero is used alone? :)))))))))

Zero, the mathematical big bang, yay!!!!

If zero means the same as infinity, then zero dinero would be awesome!!! ....so, instead, perhaps zero is the inverse of infinity.......

Or...Is it true there was no zeroeth post before the original post - proving the (conspiracy) theory that zero isn't really a number?

As an aside, there is a zeroth law of thermodynamics, which proves it must be a number :-)

I thought I was in exclusive company, but it appears we ZHs are two a penny.
And are we ranked? And if so who is ZH #1? Or is he/she superseded by ZH #0? And where do I rank exactly?
This is all very disappointing...
