Shari Cooper hadn't planned on dying, but four floors is a long way to fall. Her friends say she fell but Shari knew she had been murdered. Making a vow to herself to find her killer, Shari spies on her friends, and even enters their dreams. She also comes face-to-face with a nightmare from beyond the grave. The Shadow - a thing more horrible than death itself - is the key to Shari's death, and the only thing that can stop her murderer from murdering again.

Just about to start this (a day early, oops!). The synopsis sounds super intriguing.

1/4: (view spoiler)[I'm not always the biggest fan of the paranormal so I have been putting off reading this book for some time. The writing was initially pleasantly surprising and the tone easy to read. I am not a fan of any of the characters yet, though. Shari seems quite dull... (hide spoiler)]

2/4: (view spoiler)[Why is Shari so mean? I feel kind of awful, but I literally have no emotion over her impending death as she is so negative and superficial it is hard to care about her, even one tiny bit. (hide spoiler)]

4/4: (view spoiler)[Whilst I might not have guessed about Amanda's parents and the reasons behind her actions, I still found I suspected her character without knowing the why to the who, yet. I felt as blase about the ending as I had about the rest of the book. Shari's parents reaction was just...bizarre. The whole thing, in fact, didn't feel true, for me. Especially the moralistic epilogue! (hide spoiler)]

Ha I didn't know it was a buddy read for this starting soon. I just brought this book today from Half Price Bookstore. It has all 3 books into one. I may start this. Yes the synopsis drew me in that's why I brought it lol.

Chapter 3
(view spoiler)[I'm not sure where this is going so far. The conversation between Jeff and Shari was really weird, but I guess it ended in the intended of result to get him talking to Jo. Beth seems like one of those annoying pretty girls at school who stresses way too hard about school for no reason and is faker than my hair color. O.O (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[That was a really creepy scene. The whole thing felt kind of surreal. Also, Shari's death seemed rather....anticlimactic? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[You'd think these people would be more upset that Shari was dead. Daniel is a complete jerk, and Jeff doesn't seem to care. Jo cared enough to at least defend her, and Beth seemed the most upset aside from Jimmy even though Shari didn't even like her. Amanda was kind of weird. Maybe she saw something. (hide spoiler)]

Oh Alley if I knew you were reading this I would've brought the book back to my flat with me! I was just at my parents' place where all my books were. Dammit. Oh well next time.

(view spoiler)[So I'm really happy Garret was reunited with his daughter and that whole deal was fixed,but there's so many other issues. Like, what about Jo!? What about Beth and Daniel? Actually, screw Daniel. What about Beth? What about Jeff? You don't care about giving them closure? Also, Shari's parents are freaking stupid! They were so excited to have a daughter again they actually helped DEFEND HER FOR KILLING THEIR DAUGHTER??????????????????? And she got five years in a mental institution? That's ridiculous. I think a real case would have been given much more. (hide spoiler)]
