But seriously, when I read:

I am totally thinking that this book is somehowgoing to be about Dani finally getting her wish to be what Ryo is.

What do other readers think?

And then I went back and read the excerpt and I am thinking, if this is from Ryo's PoV, then this makes perfect sense because whatever else would he need a full pardon for, other than changing her in extremis...

My first thought when I read the "demanding an unspeakable price" bit was about her becoming one of the 9! Even if it doesn't actually happen, KMM is definitely hinting at it.

What do you ladies think about her past coming back to haunt her? Think it might be something to do with her black hand, or maybe her time in faerie?

The bit about her past I assumed had something to do with her Mom, and Dani's role in her death, but possibly not.

On another note, I'm not sure Dani would consider becoming one of the 9 to be paying an unspeakable price. She did once say there is no price too high to never die. Though the blurb may not reflect her personal feelings on the matter.

One thing is certain, I really want to know the deal with her hand and some of those choices she mentioned to Ryodan that she had to make during her time in the silvers since it suggested to me that they resulted in her Jada persona.

@K33sha I agree about the 'unspeakable price'. I think it is the blurb PoV and not Dani, who has always been a fan of the idea of becoming immortal (even as a 15? year old).

My only thought is that both Ryo and Barrons have actively discouraged their 'other halves' from making the change, although, admittedly, Ryo slightly less reluctantly than Barrons, but to my mind, there has to be more negatives to being one of the nine than their diet. I am hoping we will see more of what that might be... either through the experiences of Dageus (?) or maybe Dani. Can't decide myself whether I want her to be changed or not, but it would certainly create some tensions either way ;-)

Any news or snippet on this? I hope Ryodan redeem himself though.. After Iced the Author made him seems like a wimp next to Barron.. I think Christian still have an interest in Dani since on the last book he said to Dani she will see him more. I really wonder how KMM will pull Dani's story since her original story for her got scrapped in order to write more Mac.

Hi! I'm new here. I hope there'll be a lot of tension between Ryo and Dani. Hope, she'll drive him up the wall! :D Oh, and I would like to get to know more about our silent Kasteo...

What do you guys think of the snippet? Do you think that is Ryodan by the beach? Some of the comments say it might not be Ryodan because its too romantic, but I think it might be him. He always compare Dani to a tsunami and since he no longer taking care of the club plus a lot of time past since the last book. Its plausible that he now live near a beach.

Hmmm, I doubt it’s Ryodan because he’s allowing a woman to sleep in his bed and he always kept them separate from his personal space before. I don’t think he’s the type to tolerate unwelcome anything, even sleeping. 😁

I think it's a flashback to Ryo pre the events of iced when he didn't live at chesters.

Ryo likes being alive relishes living and so does the guy in this teaser. The whole ocean wave wild woman metaphor in the teaser reminds me of how Ryo says Dani is like a tsunami and makes ocean metaphors about Dani in Iced.

Ryo was who I thought of first for the same reasons! How he's describing the ocean is exactly how he would describe Dani. Plus, "brimstone" fits him since he has the whole devil in a business suit thing going. And there are in fact beaches by Dublin so he wouldn't have had to move.

The only thing that doesn't really fit is the woman sleeping in his bed. I agree - not a very Ryo-like thing to do, but possible. You gotta mix it up from the desk from time to time I suppose.

I don't know who it would be if not Ryo. Can't be Dageus because he loves his wife. Can't be the old Unseelie King because he's with his concubine now. At first I thought it might be Christian, but it can't be him because he hasn't lived "too long". Definitely not Lor. Could maybe be one of the 9 we don't know yet... OR the unknown narrator from the beginning of Feverborn?

The only thing that's throwing me off that it might not be Ryodan is his letting the woman sleep on his bed and his doing it at his house.. But then again the Ryodan I know from Iced is very different from the last three books.. I know it will be one of the nine since he said alive is the one thing that he will always be. I thought its either Ryodan or Lor since both characters will be prominent in this book.

@Mel Why are you sure its not Lor?

@Fresiako I would love to read a flashback from Ryodan POV, especially on how he stalk Dani and wrestle with Jada when she was little. I always assume he lived at Chester since on Iced Dani said Ryodan's been hosting fairies for Millenia that is why it doesn't have iron in it.

I just don't think it sounds like Lor. Not enough swearing haha. Plus, this narrator wants a woman like the ocean. Lor was super into Jo, and I think we can agree she definitely was NOT like an ocean.

@Mel - Oh yeah I totally forgot about Jo... Lol so true. I still don't get how Lor could have like Jo. It feels out of character, same with Ryodan. I hope KMM release more snippet..

ill most likely read it just to see if the Old Dani is back at all. Jada was a terrible transformation. And I am happy to see there is a 2 year leap in time which should help characters grow. But I'm super surprised that nothing major has been released considering we are only a little over a month away.

And i was impressed KMM answered questions regarding the book on goodreads and say this was a Dani book. Kudos to her because you can still tell there are fans that are not excited with dani as the lead

Hi guys! I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of the Mega we know and love. That one teaser said she laughs from the belly so that gives me some hope she's coming around.

Also I'm not reading these books again I really did not like them the first time. Dancers dead...love of her life. But I can't remember how Ryodan or Lor end up? Are they cool with each other now. I cannot remember at all how they are left off.

@June we didn't see any other scenes with Ryodan and Lor but I think they're fine. I don't see why there would be any additional conflict over the whole fake-priya business but who knows lol

I use to really want to know about the 9 but i think its never going to happen. I mean Ryodan seemed like a sharer in Ice compared to Barrons but KMM said she will never reveal their origins...right?

Also does anyone have an idea on the title? hows does it connect to the plot?

A month to go. I thought we'd get another teaser. What gives? or have I just missed one?

yeah she's said she wouldn't reveal their origin story which is why I don't want Dani to be turned. if you're gonna open that door ya need to supply the goods! No idea about the title-honestly since Iced they rarely have anything to do with the plot.

right?! I dunno it's been real quiet on K Mo's end. You'd think she'd be promoting HV like crazy-seeing as there's confusion ever since FS was marketed as *the last* fever series book. A lot of people aren't even aware this book is coming out. Her promo team needs to step it up!! Hire me K Mo I got some ideas lmaooo

Yeah, I thought it was kind of odd she hasn't had more teasers, especially so close to publishing date. TBH, I don't think I'm going to buy the book (and I usually buy the hardback and the kindle) until I hear what people think about it. I loved the banter between Dani & Ryodan in ICED, but somehow I've lost Dani somewhere between Jada & Mac. I'd like her back please.

yeah idk what's up there. That's understandable especially considering how dang expensive it is to pre-order the ebook for HV. like on amazon the hardcover is almost the same price! an ebook only being four dollars less than a physical book is crazy. I'm definitely going to read it when it first comes out tho I have to see for myself how I feel about it lol. Especially since HV apparently is Dani's HEA!

Mel - I hear you. I said that the last time but I'll probably change my mind & get it the first day it comes out. LOL I've waited too long to read the rest of Dani's story. I really hope she & Ryodan get their banter back.

Part of what made it so good in the early days of their 'relationship' (for want of a better word) was the fact that Ryo kept trying to control Dani and Dani kept pushing back because she resented his control. When she came back as Jada, Ryo stopped trying to control her so much and was more respectful to her and Jada/Dani was much less hot-headed and not as easily baited by Ryo as Dani had been. Still looking forward to the next book. I really hope Ryo comes down heavy on Dani about something they don't see eye to eye on and she gives him what for (again).

I agree melissa that's y i'd rather dani not be turned as kmo is not going to reveal their origin story. and if dani were really turned knowing dani realistically she'd find out everything in 2 minutes lol.

i want her to be immortal due to her hunter hand thing. queen of hunters here we come!
