i already pre-ordered the ebook lol. I mean yeah the ebook is expensive for an ebook but i mean like i been fangirling bout this shit for 4 years now. i ain't bout to be a stingy ass bitch when i spend more money on sushi in a week than a series i spent years ruminating over lol.

I guess it's a personal hang up of mine but it physically pains me to pay over like 7.99 for an ebook which is essentially just a file I don't miss the controlling aspect especially if they're going to be a romantic couple. I just miss Dani's humor and ~fire

I even used one of my audible credits on the audiobook even tho the last two were pretty much unlistenable. Has there been any news of who's narrating HV?

i bought the last audiobook but i couldn't get thru it. Like the female voice was ok, but god damn the dudes voice is horrible.
noooooooooooooooooo. Is it 100% certain it's going to be them? The man's voice was just bad and all wrong. the woman's irish accent goes in and out. ugh!! I'd rather they had like one woman narrating the whole book than have that guy do it again lol.damn how do I get my credit back lmao. I figured everyone else also complained and we'd get a new set of narrators but apparently not!
U can probs lodge for a refund on the website/app. I mean don't quote me like it might not be them but I think on the high voltage audio book page on Amazon they r listed as the narrators
The dudes voice was so bad lmao. Like he gave dancer an Irish accent and he sounded more Irish than Dani. Even tho he is supposed to be an Aussie lmao. And his voice for ryodan was like an old man croaking out on his death bed
Like I know ryodan is ancient but he ain't physically supposed to sound like a 105 yr old man
There is no way I'm buying. I lucked out on the last few and got them first at the library. I'm not even sure I'm going to try and reserve it. This book feels super quiet marketing wise, and I was not impressed by the first teaser. I would like for her to release the first 5 chapters maybe if good I will buy.

lmao melissa! I don't really listen to audiobooks like i literally signed up for audible purely to listen to the fever ones (burned and iced) but unsuscribed right away! now that shit is wayyyy too expensive for me. like godamn

haha yeah if you only got audible for the fever books it's definitely not worth it. might as well just sign up for the free trial and then cancel it- you get to keep the book you download I'm pretty sure. Make new profiles so it seems like you're a new customer for each one and bam you're good lmaoooo.
I know I sound desperate but I would (and have in the past) paid double the price to get it sooner. I live in Oz and often pay for expedited shipping . I don’t know how some people are prepared to wait for the paperback editions to come out. It would drive me crazy! I am addicted to these books. Even another little teaser would be better than nothing before the 6/3. I really hope KMM takes pity on us.

Thanks Jade. You have made my day with that announcement!!! I don't really follow the FB and really appreciate it when updates are shared. I don't really care that the book may have cheesy bits. TBH, most of the books have had the cheese factor in there somewhere. My pet cheesy bits would have to be (in no particular order): MacHalos, the Barrons nail painting scene, the Barrons dancing to Tubthumping scene, pretty much anything to do with the Sidhe Seers and the Dani Newspapers. Yet, I still can't put these books down. I have not stopped shipping Ryo and Dani even though they have been a long time coming and Ryo made the big sacrificial gesture in FS which made me want to slap him. I am still holding a candle for Kat and Kasteo and I would like to find out what happens to Cruce, Dageus, Jayne and Sean. I also want to be 'there' metaphorically speaking when DEG returns to cash in his favour with Mac. I wouldn't mind finding out how Mac manages the role of Faery Queen either. From my PoV there is plenty to look forward to. I thought the first page sounded promising and I am prepared to give it a chance. Fingers crossed for the denouement.
Honestly I'm planning to read every last book of this series. I've been hooked since the first book and will see it to the end because there's so many question I want answered.
Also, I don't think there's even another series where I analyse or try to guess what's going to happen next, as much as I do this series.

I'll read the book but won't buy it. I personally feel like the books since Iced have been not well written. I want this book to feel more plot driven and I really want Dani's character to feel like Dani of Iced not Jada, Also I want Ryodan back....like Ryodan of Iced. His character has been so not well don't either in the last books.
But I am curious whats everyone been up to. I feel like the last book we lost everyone except Mac, are we going to see more Kat this time?

Kat tucked the blanket snugly around her sleeping daughter, retrieved the worn copy of The Little Engine That Could from the bed, and turned to slip it back on the shelf.
As she moved to the door and turned off the lights, she glanced back at Rae and, as it always did, her heart swelled inside her chest with more love than she’d believed a single person could hold.
Rae had spent most of the afternoon into the late evening in the gardens, playing with the Spyrssidhe. 'I love the Spur-shee, Mommy', she’d said before she drifted off. 'They’re not like me. They’re so light inside.'
Other mothers would have asked the question her comment implied. 'If they’re light inside but they’re not like you, what does that make you?'
She hadn’t asked. Time would tell. If Rae believed she was dark for some reason, yet loved as instinctively and freely as she did, there was no point in asking.
Using her gift of empathy on her daughter had proved worthless. Rae felt so much love for her mother, Kat could feel nothing beyond it.
When Rae rolled over in her sleep, mumbling inaudibly, Kat’s phone tumbled to the floor, and she realized she’d forgotten it on the bed. She reclaimed it, tucked her daughter back in, kissed her forehead lightly and smoothed her curls.
As she turned back for the door a radioactive cloud of

exploded in her head. A scream escaped her lungs, clawing its way up her throat. She choked on it to keep from frightening Rae.
Rooted to the spot by terror, she stood, sputtering softly, trembling from head to toe, staring with wide, horrified eyes.
No, no, no, no, no, began the desperate litany in her mind. Please, God, no, I don’t deserve this, Rae doesn’t deserve this. I’m a good person, a good mother. But I can’t protect us from this!
He towered against the door of the bedroom, barring her exit.
Trapping them within.

The Side Seers carry a piece of the Unseelie King, so maybe it's possible.
As for the whole Dani thing, I feel like we'll find a middle ground between Dani and Jada in the next book.To me it's realistic that she's NOT how she was at 14, I mean everyone grows up and changes, while still retaining some traits from there childhood, wouldn't that change be even more profound for someone who's gone through as much as Dani has?
It has been two years, so I do think we'll get some of that witty banter she had before but maybe not as exaggerated as before.
As we all know Karens into her character transformations, at this point it would be bizarre if her personality did a 180 back to the Dani we knew in Iced.
I've honestly got my fingers crossed for this book, going to go into it with an open mind :)
OMG!!!!!!! Who is the person in the doorway? Is it Cruce or is it someone else we don't know about yet. Could it be Ryo, the ultimate manipulator, playing the long game, come to extract payment from Kat? Suppose he knew all along that Kat was pregnant and offered help because he wanted to be able to manipulate Cruce/Kat at a later date? I realise that this is improbable, but it is entertaining to consider, just the same.
Hm... I'm no sure at grown-up Dani talks to KMM as much as teenage Dani did. All her books from the grown up Dani are bits and pieces from Danis POV and of SO many peoples POVs and stories that I just have lost all interest in these books. When we finally get a "Dani-book" the teaser is about Kat and her baby. I just have to laugh at KMM. Just STOP milking the cow, would you? Just admit that you have lost your Dani-muse and start something new.

But I actually thought the kat snippet was the only teaser I've enjoyed, finally something juicy that is plot driven rather than cheesy lines about love and cages..lol i can't stand that stuff and to me that has no resemblance to dani.
i hope KMM gives us a chapter at least to see if this gets my interest going

Actually I would not mind if in High Voltage would be less Dani but adequately written. This teaser was intriguing and Kat is one of the most well-written minor characters in the fever world. And I can't wait to see her relationship with her daughter and how it is effects Dani. One of the things that always annoyed me in this serie that there are so many possibilities for personal relationships between characters to evolve, but it's like Moning intentionally ignores them. It's fascinating.
So... she promised us a “killer teaser” this week, right? There’s still time left.

Haha, just saw that the kindle edition costs 18,74 $ and the hardcover costs 18,5 $. I think I'll just wait till it comes on cheap sale. This one will probably be another disappointment like the others, and I won't waste my money again. Hope you enjoy it, though!
I plan to buy the hardback of HV but I want to see what people think about it. Any one read it yet?

I posted some spoilers in that thread. Overall I loved the book. Ryodan if not before has definitely surpassed Barrons IMO. Although I think he did for me before anyway. lol Since this is the last Dani book I am kind of grieving. In the long run I think Dani and Ryo got jipped big time by having two books when Mac got 8 and drove me nuts in the last three.
