The humans reside east of the Atlantic ocean. The one's who are a part of the kingdom are mainly in Europe, Spain, and in part of Germanic and Baltic areas. Only a few reside in Africa and Asia since the kingdom stretches only so far. Resources are limited and the populations have dropped ever since the plaque and the anarchy. The humans re under the rule of the new queen and some are being trained as soldiers to defeat the Shadows. Some live within the castle's walls but they are personal servants to the queen. Most live in scattered villages all over the land and some are nomads, moving from place to place. Humans have many occupations:-farmer, baker, architect, student, servant, knight, professor, and many more.

The vampire clan is extremely hierarchal. There are the Elders, Purebloods, ex-human vampires, and fledgling. Fledglings are turned vampires who have not yet drank human blood. They are the weakest and can easily be manipulated. Above all, is the Vampire king, who rules the clan. Vampires are creatures of the night, that much is to be expected but they are unlike the vampires you read in fairytales. The only thing that can kill them is beheading by a sword made of ivory. They no magical powers but they have superhuman strength, hearing, sight, scent, etc.
