*Legion 2/3 Need to read the final book.

DNF Series (I Gave Up/May Revisit)
*The Books of Pellinor ¾: Lost interest at some point. Didn’t like the switch between main characters.
*Book of Ember ¼: It was enjoyable, but I didn’t like it enough to continue. The movie was better.
*Virals ⅖: Lost interest. Liked the first two, couldn’t get into the third and gave up.
*The Ender Quintet ¼: May revisit. Need to read Ender’s Game again to see if I like it more. Read it while I was sick (with a headache) so that could have swayed my thoughts.
*Delirium ⅔: Lost interest in reading the third book. Tried part and was not enjoying.
*The Princess Diaries ⅝: Not sure on the number here. Loved them when I was younger, lost all interest later.
*Shatter Me ⅓: Not a fan. Didn’t like the writing, the story, or the characters.
*Razorland ¼: Lost interest after reading book one.
*Across the Universe ⅓: Not a fan of the first one.
*The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy ⅙: Not a fan of the first one.
*Dune ⅛: Did not like the first one. Interesting ideas, but did not like how it was executed.
*The Sky Inside ½: Was not interested in continuing.
*Partials ⅓: Lost interest in continuing.
*The Young Elites ⅓: Lost interest.
*A Tale Dark and Grimm ⅓: It was ok, but I probably won’t find the time to read the others.
*For Darkness Shows the Stars ½: Really liked the first one, but the second one follows different characters and I don’t think I would like it as much.
*Firebird ⅓: Lost interest.
*The Divine Cities ⅔: They were ok, but I was not invested. I didn’t find the world well detailed and the writing was clunky for me.
*Delta Crossroads ⅓: Lost interest. The first was ok, but didn’t leave me invested.
*The Tainted Accords 2/4: Lost interest. Too much unneeded swearing and vulgarity with little world building.
*The Farseer Trilogy ⅓: May go back to this, but didn’t really feel inclined to continue when I finished.
*The Kingkiller Chronicle ⅓: If book three is ever published I may continue, but I found the first book tedious and the characters not likable.
*Shades of Magic ⅓: Liked the first book, but on reflection there isn’t anything that stands out to me. Haven’t had any desire to continue the series.
*Grit of Berth and Stone ⅓: The first one was a bit of a drag and I haven’t had inclination to continue.
*Falling Kingdoms ⅕: I really did not like anything about this book. I don’t even know why I finished reading it.
*Ray Electromatic Mysteries 1/?: The first one was good enough, but I doubt I’ll continue reading.
*Man of War ⅔: Somewhere along the way I lost interest. They were slow going and I think I just didn’t feel like slogging through something I wasn’t loving.
*The Great Library ⅖: Decided not to finish when more books were announced. Maybe when they are all out I’ll give them a try.
*Serafina 1/?: Didn’t like the first one a lot and couldn’t get into the second one.
*The Island Series 3/?: Was not a fan. The horse stuff was not well done or incorporated and the relationships felt shallow.
*Old Man’s War ⅕: Such a disappointment. I was hoping for great things and this just fell flat of me.
*The Witchlands ⅕: Wasn’t a big fan of the first one and haven’t wanted to continue.
*Lightbringer ⅖: Not impressed with book two.
*Temeraire 1/9: Decided to leave these behind
*The Dresden Files 3/?: Not a fan of the first three, so left them
*Imperial Radch 0/3: DNFed the first one @29% was not a fan
*Southern Reach 1/3: Did not like the first
*Inda 1/4: Didn't like the first one enough to continue
*Ranger’s Apprentice 5/11: May continue eventually
*The Drenai Saga 1/11: first was ok
*Earthsea Cycle 2/5: first was great, second was only ok
*Time Quintet 4/5: done after 4th
*Malazan Book of the Fallen 1/10: liked the first, but don't like how dark they are
*Mouseheart 1/3: first was ok
*Abhorsen 1/5: first was ok

Wanting to Revisit/Continue
*Unblemished ⅓: I have books two and three...
*An Ember in the Ashes 1/4: I want to listen to the second because of the narrators
*Anne of Green Gables ⅝: plan to do these, probably on audio
*The Inheritance Cycle ¾: Going to try these on audio at some point

I figured that the more I read the harder it will be to keep them all together. And I know that's been a topic of discussion with people doing this challenge. :)

Riyria is one of the series I'm considering reading... my lack of Fantasy in my TBR/series list is going to screw with my Shame Challenge progress... I need to rectify that even as it gets in the way of catching up on all the other books...

You should definitely try out Riyria, Iain! They are some of my favorites now. I already want to reread them, and I only started them in July!

More of my series are probably not fantasy than are, but I do have a pretty good number of fantasy there as well. I would say read what you're most excited about. :)

Yea... I'm abandoning A LOT in my shame challenge... 2014 was a year of romance novels and paranormal romance series for me... I'm not in the mood for that anymore... especially not that MANY... so unless I really like the series I'm pitching it... Fantasy on the other hand is under-represented I think... and a lot of series are catching my eye...

And I'm generally of the same opinion... sticking with a genre/series you no longer are excited about lowers time spent reading...

Exactly. It's not possible to read everything, so reading the things you are most interested in makes sense. I hope you enjoy all the fantasy you start!

Thanks! I tend to stick with most series over a planned amount of time. Not always though....and thanks for that! I will actually be surprised if that's the only repeat.
