I already had the 5th Time book borrowed from the library or I would have quit after book 4 too. such an awful book.

Sad to see Malazan and Abhorsen on your dnf list.

Book four was so bad for me that I couldn't bring myself to read the 5th.

Those could end up being ones that I bring back out in the future. Sometimes I do that.

I can never give up a series. I always have to finish it.

I thought book 5 was pretty similar to book 3. The protagonist is Meg and Calvin’s daughter.

I don't have time to read books I'm not liking, so I get rid of them if I'm not looking forward to the next one.

I saw that, Bill. After book four, I wasn't willing to go further. Book one was quite good and two and three were ok. That fourth one though.

Thanks! I've been working on my HP reread for nearly two years now. I got through the first four very quickly, but took a year break between five and six. I like them, but they just don't have the same magic they did when I was a kid.

I know what you mean. I did a reread around maybe 5 years ago and only got through book 5.
