I have both this, The Gospel of Loki and the Across the Universe trilogy on my TBR. Did you enjoy them?

Across the universe is very good. I loved that whole trilogy. Gospel of Loki was enjoyable. Really well written. And The Essence was slow for the first 25% but it ended up being pretty good. I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I'd read it closer to when I finished The Pledge. I think there was a 3 year gap between me reading the first book and then the second one.
