Giveaway of Girl in Snow by Danya Kukafka

It's time for another giveaway! Simon & Schuster have generously donated 10 hardcover and 20 ebook copies of her debut novel Girl in Snow!
Kukafka's novel is about what happens in a small town after high schooler Lucinda Hayes is found murdered.

Here's what Paula Hawkins had to say about Girl in Snow:
"From its startling opening line right through to its stunning conclusion, Girl in Snow is a perfectly-paced and tautly-plotted thriller. Danya Kukafka's misfit characters are richly drawn, her prose is both elegant and eerie—this is an incredibly accomplished debut.”
—Paula Hawkins, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Girl on the Train and Into the Water

Synopsis:
Who Are You When No One Is Watching?

When a beloved high schooler named Lucinda Hayes is found murdered, no one in her sleepy Colorado suburb is untouched—not the boy who loved her too much; not the girl who wanted her perfect life; not the officer assigned to investigate her murder. In the aftermath of the tragedy, these three indelible characters—Cameron, Jade, and Russ—must each confront their darkest secrets in an effort to find solace, the truth, or both.

In crystalline prose, Danya Kukafka offers a brilliant exploration of identity and of the razor-sharp line between love and obsession, between watching and seeing, between truth and memory. Compulsively readable and powerfully moving, Girl in Snow offers an unforgettable reading experience and introduces a singular new talent in Danya Kukafka

About the author

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 223 comments I have no facebook account and don't want one either and the google form isn't working - I cannot enter anything there - is there another way I can join the giveway? Can I use this thread?

In case I can use this thread. My favorite thriller/suspense novel is: My Sister's Grave by Robert Dugoni. It was a really tough one since (romantic) suspense / thriller & mysteries are my favorite genres and there are so many great books :-)

In case I win I prefer ebook plus I'm living in Germany and read often the shipping costs are pretty high for overseas mailing.

I'm not sure why the Google form isn't working for you (I just tested it using my phone and desktop without a problem). Maybe someone can yell out if they have a similar issue?

Agnieszka if you can just PM me your email address I can submit your information manually. Thanks!

They told us it was for any country. I'll PM you with what I did

Imke (immie75) | 1644 comments I'm having the same problem as Sally906. To check out the book I have to fill out a form with adres and country, but only US, Bermuda and Gibraltar are available. Not sure how to proceed.

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 223 comments I have the same issue here in Germany - I already sent a message to their service email address - let's hope they can solve it! I would really hate to miss the buddy read and I don't have the money right now to buy it :-(

Kat | 1198 comments You're probably not meant to do this, lol, but I just put in a fake address. You only need state, city, zip code and address, I believe, so it's not too hard. I didn't use someone's actual address obviously, I just made one up. I had to create an account afterwards, too, to download the ebook, but that only requires a name and email address, and I'm sure you can delete your account afterwards, if you want.

Sally906 | 1765 comments I did that - but having problems downloading - my kobo ap keeps saying I should be signed into adobe - but can't find where to do that in my app..

message 15: by Kat (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kat | 1198 comments That is strange. I use Adobe Digital Editions so I didn't encounter that problem but it should be able to connect to Kobo. Maybe someone else knows?

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 223 comments Sally906 wrote: "I did that - but having problems downloading - my kobo ap keeps saying I should be signed into adobe - but can't find where to do that in my app.."

In my my eReader I had to add my Adobe ID in the option area - if you can't find it try to look up online a handbook for your eReader or if it's only an app I would contact the support and ask how to do it.
I'm going now to my local hot spot and hope I can download my copy without any further issues.

I don't use a kobo so I can't help there :)
I download epubs to blue fire reader on my tablet and I do vaguely remember on original set up it needed an adobe account - something about the protected files I guess

I think you need to connect the device (tablet/phone) you're using to an Adobe account with your Adobe ID. I use Aldiko to read ebooks on my phone.

Sally906 | 1765 comments Hmmm

Just about got to the point of thanks but no thanks.

That was the same I had to do on my iPad and my eReader - now I can use my online library and two of my shops are using the same format as well and usually it's working fine :-)

I downloaded my copy as well and now I'm looking forward to our discussion :-)

Sally906 | 1765 comments Ok all done - downloaded Blue Fire - created Adobe account and now have my copy safely stashed. Woo hoo

We've emailed the details to the publisher but don't have any control over the timing I'm afraid!
I'll post here if we get any ETA information
