About the Expense I've read and as you said great!
But I guess I wasn't clear with my request, I've pretty much read it all by Mr. Alastair Reynolds and Mr. Peter Hamilton and what I really meant is if there are others like those two great authors who also write Space Operas?
Again thanks for caring enough and taking your time for replying!!!

This group: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/... has some great lists of different space opera genres.

I enjoyed them for the formatting myself but thought the story was just okay.

Personally, I'd recommend Dune, Ancillary Justice and Neptune's Brood.
They are all very good space operas. They all hail from different subgenres, and have different themes and tones so you can get a taste of what the genre can offer. Reynolds and Hamilton are just one slice of the pie.

My go-to space opera recommendation is always the great Iain M. Banks. His Culture books aren't in any order and, while there are some interconnections, they are minor. For my money, his best are Look to Windward, Surface Detail & Matter.
I'd also suggest Dan Simmons's Hyperion books and John Scalzi's Old Man's War series.
While Charles Stross isn't especially known for space opera, his Singularity Sky fits the bill and is rather good.
Hope you find lots of great stuff in the recommendations!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I would say Richard K. Morgan's Takeshi Kovacs books are great space opera.

good reading to you.
