And if you don't have a favorite color, you can just pick any color!

My favorite color is gray/grey. The first book I thought of is a HARD NO - Fifty Shades of Grey. But I have a book on my shelf at home called Grey is the Color of Hope. I've been meaning to read it for several years.

Aha!! FINALLY I will read The Color Purple!!! Because purple is definitely my favorite color, and I've been meaning to read this book for a long time now.

I read Purple Hibiscus last year and I really enjoyed it! Adichie is just a wonderful writer (imo), I love everything she does!!

If you can't choose, there is The Red and the Black by Stendhal.

My favorite color is silver, so I guess I should finally buckle down and read Silver in the Blood...

I hope the "white is a SHADE not a COLOR" people aren't hangin' around because I'm eyeing White Oleander for this prompt ;)

LOL White is a COLOR if you ask me. It comes in a tube of acrylic paint just like all my other colors!

Green Eggs and Ham is the first book that comes to mind but I'll probably pick something else.

I felt like plain old "blue" was too easy (though I may use it to read The Blue Castle, which is on my list thanks to you guys.)

So I found this helpful list of Crayola colors and tried to get a little more specific. Unfortunately the top cerulean book was Anita Blake #11, and given that I couldn't get through #1, I'd like to give that a miss.

If I don't go with "blue" I'll probably do Diamond Dogs, Turquoise Days

If you can get this on audio, I highly recommend it. The narrator does a great job and it really enhanced the experience for me.

What about Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde? I haven't read it yet, but it is on my list for next year.

Orange is my favorite color and it is a tricky one. Here's what I'm come up with:

The titles of books in John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee mystery series feature colors from blue to pink to lavender to turquoise.

Walter Mosley's Easy Rawlins mystery series also does this with some of titles - from yellow and green to rose gold!

Exactly what Nadine said! That book is AMAZING.

I love pink but this seems too hard! I can't think of any popular books with pink or fuchsia in the title and the search function is a little lacking with potential books.

The Secret History of the Pink Carnation is a good book!

Pink Carnation is the first in the series. I read the series in order, but I think you could enjoy it out of order too if you just need that one title. Each book has a strong romance theme combined with espionage hijinks. Some of it is silly, some of it is serious.

I am going with Scarlet!!! The sequel to Gone with the Wind! So excited because I read Gone with the Wind years ago and LOVED it, and I found the book Scarlet for 50 cents! :)
