21. A book with your favorite color in the title
Aha!! FINALLY I will read The Color Purple!!! Because purple is definitely my favorite color, and I've been meaning to read this book for a long time now.
I read Purple Hibiscus last year and I really enjoyed it! Adichie is just a wonderful writer (imo), I love everything she does!!

this is what i want to use too! i know i should have read this long ago

LOL White is a COLOR if you ask me. It comes in a tube of acrylic paint just like all my other colors!

As the old story goes: "and black is a color too, so the TV I sold you WAS a color TV"! ;-)

So I found this helpful list of Crayola colors and tried to get a little more specific. Unfortunately the top cerulean book was Anita Blake #11, and given that I couldn't get through #1, I'd like to give that a miss.
If I don't go with "blue" I'll probably do Diamond Dogs, Turquoise Days

The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America
The Woman in White
White Teeth
White Fang

If you can get this on audio, I highly recommend it. The narrator does a great job and it really enhanced the experience for me.

What about Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde? I haven't read it yet, but it is on my list for next year.

thanks! I'll look for it! I enjoy a good audiobook, I always have one queued up for my car ride.

I just finished that book last week and it was really good. Funny also, but you have to like absurd humor.

LOOK NO FURTHER! that book blew me away when I read it two years ago!! (I read it for the Challenge, too, but I can't remember what category it was. ETA: I remembered! it was "author under 30")

Exactly what Nadine said! That book is AMAZING.

The Secret History of the Pink Carnation is a good book!

The Name of the Rose
Rose Madder
A Court of Thorns and Roses
Blood Rose Rebellion
Rose Daughter
Briar Rose
A Rose for Emily and Other Stories
I Never Promised You a Rose Garden
Snow White and Rose Red

If you don't mind an older book, The King in Yellow could work. Or The Yellow Wall-Paper and Other Stories.
Sara wrote: "Kelly wrote: "I love pink but this seems too hard! I can't think of any popular books with pink or fuchsia in the title and the search function is a little lacking with potential books."

I adore that series!! ... as Sara probably knows already, since I keep on about it ;-)
That's a good series for other colors, too:
The Masque of the Black Tulip
The Deception of the Emerald Ring
The Seduction of the Crimson Rose
The Orchid Affair (ok this one is pushing it, admittedly - I'm pretty sure this was orchid the flower)
The Passion of the Purple Plumeria
Pink Carnation is the first in the series. I read the series in order, but I think you could enjoy it out of order too if you just need that one title. Each book has a strong romance theme combined with espionage hijinks. Some of it is silly, some of it is serious.

I'm planning to finally read The Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, and the Real Count of Monte Cristo for this one.
On other colors (these are books I've read and enjoyed):
White:
The White Rose
Silver:
Streams of Silver
The Silver Chair (If you've never read the Chronicles of Narnia, read the first one for 'childhood classic' or 'movie I've already seen', the second one for 'book in a series I started', the third one for 'book set at sea' and then silver chair can be used for this prompt.)
Red:
A Red Herring Without Mustard
Redshirts
Pink/Rose:
Rose in Bloom
Bronze:
The Bronze Eagle
Green (or Gray):
The Green and the Gray
Blue:
Laddie: A True Blue Story

My favorite color is gray/grey. The first book I thought of is a HARD NO - Fifty Shades of Grey. But I have a book on my shelf at home called Grey is the Color of Hope. I've been meaning to read it for several years.
