I remember reading this book as a very young child--probably in the range of 2004 to 2007. It was an Usborne book about animals; it explained the difference between mammals, invertebrates, etc, for one thing. There may or may not have been sections about plants and microbes, as well. What made it notable was that there were text boxes throughout, with different website URLs to type into your computer for more info on the subjects. At the end was an index of all these.

Just remembered: The index at the end was arranged by category. To use my earlier examples, there may have been a list of the provided websites about 'vertebrates', and another about 'insects', and so on. It may have even been more specific than that.
