(view spoiler)[ So I can't quite tell how old Zoe is. She acts a lot older than she speaks, and that's bothering me. But other than that, I love it so far! I can't wait to see how the murder unfolds, and what the Grandpa's done that's so wrong. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Okay, I'm starting to get a bit mad now. You do not fall in love with two brothers. You do not write a letter and leave half way through writing and comment on that. You do not become friends with someone in prison. You do not swap from talking about the present to talking about the past without making it more clear what you're talking about. And how old is she? I can't tell, she doesn't act her age whatsoever. I'm at page 130, and I'm struggling to finish at the moment (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ How dare she blame Aaron? He had every right to be mad after she had an affair with his brother!! I mean, maybe he shouldn't have pretended he didn't care, but she was an idiot about the whole thing. Honestly, he deserves so much better (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Yessss, the Fair! In my little psychopathic way I'm very excited!!! I mean, also incredibly mad that Zoe would dare have sex with Aaron, but I have no idea which one is going to die, so I'm looking forward to finding out! (hide spoiler)]

Finished, finally, thank goodness. Final review: The idea of this book was so great, but it did not live up to expectations at all. Maybe if it wasn't written in letter form I would have liked it better. Maybe if it didn't keep flicking back from present to past I would've been able to follow it better and the suspense could've been done much less obviously.
But there were some things I just didn't know how to fix. Zoe's voice was done badly, and she was no a believable character. I mean, how old was she? She sounded about 10, but acted 18 half the time, and 12 when she was with her sister. Her mum was pathetic. The 'mystery' about the Grandpa and Dot was such an anti-climax. I wanted the drama her parents hinted at, not the blown-out-of-proportion rubbish it actually was! Aaron was an idiot. I won't say why because of spoilers, but let's just say I'm glad he's not my brother.
There were some things I did like. Max was actually quite cool, even if he wasn't meant to be. Soph was great, I would love to be her best friend, and her dramas were actually real, and not just her exaggerating things that were barely going on. And I suppose the romance was good, if bad morally. Those are the only reasons this gets bumped up to two stars.

(view spoiler)[I loved Zoe the first time around, but reading it again made me realize that was she did was pretty cruel. Based on assumptions (while I would agree they were valid), she decided to just lead both brothers on ): Even if she couldn't have had Aaron, she shouldn't have been with Max if she didn't truly like him.
