Daughter dropped the phone, cover's cracked and she can't sign in to get it to start up, so she can't retrieve any info from it. If she sends it off they will prob replace it or in any event the stuff on it will be wiped, and there are a load of photos not backed up... Is there any way of retrieving the pics? I guess it's just another reminder of the importance of downloading/backing up the phone

Best to contact apple. The people at the apple shop in Cardiff have helped me a few times. Or you can get help online.

They can do screen replacements, so she should get the same phone back.
