Double Dare 2018

This sounds like a cool idea. Can I do it? Nope... I know who I am. Lol.
Woo you go, girl! -guiltily fondles all my new books and tries not to stare at empty wallet...-
I mean I purchased several new books earlier this year but they are still sitting on my shelf unread...
I can't say the same. I think half of the books I read this year, I bought this year... My goal is to read some of the books I already have. But I know I can't do this challenge. Lol. I wanna see who can complete it tho! Probably Megan and Roxanne... Their reading speed scares me. Lol. <3
Well next year I am really hoping that I can do this again. Twice. lol. I have been trying to spend more time reading things that I already have rather than going to the bookstore and just buying more and more.
DURATION: 6 Months
Are you brave enough to take on our double dare? We dare you to promise that you will read only the books that you currently own from the date that you start this challenge. This doesn’t mean that you can’t buy or download new books. You just aren’t "allowed" to read them until the challenge ends! Can you do it?
I know we have a lot of folks here who use the library to feed their habits, so here’s the "rule" regarding library books: You can only read them for this challenge if you actually have them in your possession OR they are already on your holds/request list when the challenge officially begins at midnight (your local time) on March 1.
Since we aren’t heartless, we will allow three exceptions, but only these three. You may break the rules for this challenge ONLY if:
(1) you have ordered a book (from amazon, B&N, etc.) before the challenge begins, but it hasn't yet arrived
(2) you need to read a book for a book group discussion or ARCs that HAVE to be read and reviewed by a certain time or
(3) a favorite author has a new release coming out during this time
If you choose to accept our dare, you can post your book list in advance, or you can post it as you read. So … who’s in?
**I found this challenge surfing around the internet and cannot remember where from now and thought this was the best dare a book worm could take on.**
