March Group Read Nominations

It has been made into a film several times:
1950 "No Man of Her Own"
1960 "Shisha to no Kekkon" (Japan)
1971 "Kati Patang" (India)
1983 "J'ai épousé une ombre" (France)
1996 "Mrs. Winterbourne"
and into a TV miniseries in Brazil in 1962 "A Intrusa"
It is eligible to tick quite a few boxes, so everyone should be able to knock at least one prompt off their list for 2018:
Book written by a woman using a male pseudonym - STRIKE THAT. I'M DUMB. I KEEP READING THIS MALE AUTHOR'S REAL NAME AS COLLEEN.
Book made into a movie you've already seen (if you haven't yet seen Mrs. Winterbourne, I recommend it despite the poor critical reviews. It's a cute rom-com)
Book about death or grief
In Mrs Winterbourne, the brothers are twins. Having never read the book, I don't know if they are twins in the original, but if they are - that checks another prompt.

I second this nomination! I've been meaning to read this book for a long while now. And it would be exciting since the movie is coming out this year. :)

Yes! A Wrinkle in Time movie looks to be highly anticipated too! Not only would it be enjoyable to discuss the book as a group read, but also to discuss the movie’s adaptation right along side it. I love that it releases on March 9th! This is where my vote is headed.

The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon"
That was pretty good - I read it in 2016 but haven't seen the movie yet.
Still, I think I'm going to throw my support behind A Wrinkle in Time. I read that in grade school and would love to revisit it.

Happy New Year! I hope you're all ready and exited to dive into new adventures! I know I am! I love this time of setting goals, deciding challenges and figuring out what to read first. With that we're ready to nominate for March and the theme is Page to Screen.
Please remember to state a connection to the theme when you nominate. Thank you :)
Here are some short rules for nominating books:
~ Each person can nominate 1 book.
~ Book must be available both as a physical copy and as an ebook.
~ Authors: Please do not nominate your own book.
~ Please include the name of the book and the author or link to the book.
~ Please do not nominate books that are part of a series, unless it is the first book.
~ You can second someone else's nomination, but that will count as your nomination.
~ When nominating, please state a connection to the theme.
~ You cannot nominate a book which has previously been a group read. Past buddy reads are fine. (See Group Reads in the bookshelf)
This thread will be closed by January 25th, and we will choose ten books for the poll. If there are more than ten books nominated, we will choose the ten most nominated. If there is still a tie to get into the top ten, we'll go back to the Goodreads average rating to see which is highest.
