Elizabeth so I have a question and maybe you can help me with it so here it is. So I was looking over this and next month's TBR list when it caught my attention that even though it added up to a total of 16 books that on my TBR List for 2015 I had more paperback and hardcover books on it then nook and kindle ones so to make it equal out I need to have 4 paperback,4 hardcover,4 nook and 4 kindle to make a total of 16 books,so my question is do I count book series like The Last Apprentice Seventh Son Book 1 and Book 2 by Joseph Delaney The Seventh Son : Books 1 and book 2 of the Last Apprentice series as one book or as 2 different books? would you consider it to be one be book or 2 books

Ahmya (ahmyasan) | 407 comments I have a question about html. I want to show a pic and the html for that is this

image: < img src="http://www.goodreads.com/image..." width="40" height="100" alt="description"/ > (Width must be 0-400, Height must be 0-1000, alt is a description of the image. All three are optional, but recommended.)

Can anyone explain what exactly am i supposed to do. I know i am doing something wrong just don't know what it is???

@ Salisa - Here's what I do:

1) Right click on the picture or GIF you want
2) Click on "inspect element"
3) Make sure the img code (see example below) is highlighted and click on "copy as HTML" (or "copy" if the previous option isn't available)
4) Go to the comment box on Goodreads where you want to post the picture and click on "paste"

Image code (for picture above):

img id="irc_mi" src="http://media.tumblr.com/382a394b43f52..." width="500" height="260" style="margin-top: 172px;"

I've taken out the brackets <> at the beginning and end of this image code string to show you the code that I copied and pasted to get the image above of Amy Acker reading her book.

(I found that when I added the brackets back in, the img code didn't work, but if you copy the img code directly from the link below, it should work fine.

I also tried this with your image code re: adding in the brackets, but it didn't work. When I clicked on the URL in the middle of your code as a test, it just took me to someone's profile page.)

***

If you want to try the process with this same picture just to experiment, I went to this URL link and followed the instructions as listed above:

http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht...

Good luck! :)

OMG I've read a 110 books for 2015.check them out if you want.

message 55: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth first off I have to say that I don't like or even love the book cover they have on this collection The Night Series Collection Books 1 and 2 by R.S. Black ,but I do love the cover they have on Crimson Night,so with that said even though I hate this book cover ,I'm so glade that I'm reading it, just finished book one and I loved it,so five out of five stars for that one book. now I just got to read book 2 which is All Hallows Night and I can come out and say that I love the book cover to that one.

message 56: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Isn't it odd what they do with covers for collections/box sets, Elizabeth? I find that they rarely reflect the books within. It's almost as if the publisher assumes that readers will buy/read it since they like one of the books inside.

Meagan | 23 comments Anyone else love the feeling of opening up a new book? Ahh so satisfying...

message 58: by Meagan (new)

Meagan | 23 comments So true. Even better when it's one of those books that once you close you just hold it too your chest and stare into space, thinking about how awesome it was to read.

Sam (sam222) | 70 comments Totally random question, when you have a book with more than one book inside of it like Two Cats, Three Tales by Lilian Jackson Braun it has 3, do you count it as one book or count each one individually?

message 64: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Sam wrote: "Totally random question, when you have a book with more than one book inside of it like Two Cats, Three Tales by Lilian Jackson Braun it has 3, do you count it as one book or count each one individually?"

I'd say whichever works best for you. If you read all 3 together you could count it as 1 book, but if you read them one at a time it would be 3.

message 65: by Elizabeth (new)

message 68: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth So just a random question,I just found this really cool app on my windows phone that you download for free, basically it a notebook app that lets you make and keep like notebook on your phone,so my question is since I'm going to use it to help with my books, should I put all of my kindle books together in one or should I have one with only my Kindle TBR and one with the ones I've read and I'm going to keep.

message 69: by Heather (new)

Heather | 1262 comments I say keep a TBR list so you can see how many you have left to read and take them off as you go :)

message 88: by Anna (new)

Anna | 3 comments Hello everyone!
I read Collective Mind book and wondered one question. According to the book every person can sell creativity from their brain
and ask for that everything they want.. money, house and so on.
But the rest of their life spend like "a vegetable". And it's becoming a popular trend!
Many people live a wealthy life.
So I wonder what will be your choose? Money or creative?

I've never tried it, but would be interested to hear how it works out.

message 97: by Shaunesay (new)

Shaunesay I have it, I got it last year when they were having a discount on it. I do like it, I think the music selection is pretty good, for reading, it's not so impressive, as you only get one of the prime books per month and they aren't usually main stream things that are available. Sometimes. I would say it would depend on your main purpose for getting it, for music, yes. For books, no. For free shipping if you order a lot, definitely. And shows, that is pretty good too. If you're more wanting reading from them, then go for Kindle Unlimited as the only restriction is 10 at a time, I think, still, not always mainstream things, but I have found some good ones.

message 98: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Tuell (booksloveme) | 206 comments It either $11 a month or $99 for the year. I have a gift card for like $50 for amazon so im debating if i should just buy books or get prime. Loke what is the better deal for me?

message 99: by Shaunesay (new)

Shaunesay would you watch the shows, listen to the music or order things that would normally cost shipping? enough to offset the cost of the sub? that's what you have to decide. If not sure, I think I'd spend it on something you know you wanted. but that's just me. :)

message 100: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Tuell (booksloveme) | 206 comments I normally use netfliz and hulu for shows but it would be cheaper to use amazon, as long as my tv has the amazon app (my tv has the hulu and netflix apps). And i would order books that the libraries in area dont carry and that i on waiting list for years to get on pbs.
