Meighan This book made me laugh, cringe and gasp, all in the best ways! I'm really interested to see what others thought of this book.

The one thing that bothered me more than ANYTHING was that we never got an exact age for Drummond. So I felt torn during their intimate scene. Of course I felt that the teacher shouldn't be crossing that line with his student, but if he's 25 or 26 then it's not that bad. But if he's 28+, it's increasingly worse with every year/age moving upward. So, how old do you think Drummond was? My guess is 32; not sure why, I just sort of felt him being 32 throughout the duration of the book.

What did you love about this book? What did you hate about this book? Who was your favorite character?

Hannah Olson I read this book a while back and I loved it. I know a lot of people don't like it because of its taboo subject matter, but I feel that's a big part of the book. It's not supposed to make you strongly support the teacher and student relationship. It's meant to make you question what is okay and what draws the line.

As I read the book I imagined Drummond as being pretty young. In my brain that's how I pictured it to make me feel more comfortable with a teacher hooking up with a student.

I don't think it really needs to be said, but a teacher having a relation with a student is eventually illegal especially if the student is under age. I liked how this book kind of made you feel for the characters and wanted them to get together, but when they had the intimate moment, it made the reader pull back.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the relationship among them, and that's what I love about it. It's not my job to tell others how to live their life.

Anyway, that's just some of my thoughts. Sorry for kinda rambling.

Meighan Hannah, I am loving your thoughts! I've been dying to discuss this book with someone, ha! You are 100% right, I wanted them to eventually get together but then they had their intimate moment and I was like WHOA!!

It would have defeated the purpose of the whole book, but if they'd just waited until after graduation it would have been fine in my mind! But again, there would be no point in the book if that were the case.

Hannah Olson To me it felt kind of wrong to want them to be a couple and a read some negative reviews on the book saying that you should be disgusted if you were to think this is okay. I'm glad to not be the only one who liked them as a couple.

It's strange to think how the only thing holding back a relationship is the fact that someone is learning something. As soon as she gets a diploma in her hand is makes it okay for them to date? What difference does a diploma really make. At the end of the day, they're both just people who want someone to love.

I still love this book for talking about things people don't want to talk about. I'm glad there's someone still out there who cares about this book.
