"John pick up the goddamn phone. I swear to the gods if I get voicemail one more time, I'm going to kill you... And maybe leave you for dead for a little" she hung up and paced angrily. Her shift at the infirmary was about to end, but she spent almost the entire time trying to keep this one fuck face from dying. On top of that, every time she tried to get him some medicine he died, and she couldn't fucking get John on the phone to help with some magical healing. She was going to kill him... And maybe kill him again for good measure

((I like it))UK suddenly sat upright in the bed. "QUID IN IRRUMABO?!?!" He looked around and nothing looked familiar. Then he saw her.
She jumped about a foot in the air and did one of those fumbling catches with her phone "motherfu-!!!!!!! You lie your ass back down Larry. You pop one of those stitches and you'll be seeing any God of your choice" she snapped
"What? I'm not-" He suddenly felt pain in his sides and fell back on the bed. "Where am I? Why am I here? Where's Sarah?"((I think that was her name))
((lol it was Shelby. I have this weird ability to beta in absolutely useless information XD))She rubbed the bridge of her nose in irritation "look. You are at Camp Half Blood!! You are here in the infirmary because we found you on the hill bleeding to death from this huge ass gash. I have no idea who Shelby is, you were the only one brought to me."
((Wow. Thanks. Comes in handy))His eyes widened and he looked over at her. Camp Half-Blood?!?" He tried again to get out of bed. He fell on the floor.
She threw her hands up "you dumbass motherfu- er. You are held together with tape and string TAPE AND STRING" she stormed over to where he was on the ground and, with surprising gentleness that definitely didn't match the energy she was putting off, helped him back onto the bed "sit. Stay. Good dog"
"I've had worse, I'll heal." He gritted through his teeth. He had not had worse. He looked up into her eyes. "I really shouldn't be here."
"and why is that????" she crossed her arms and just glared at him. He wasn't her favorite already, he almost broken her record of never losing anyone on her shifts. Ever. "care to elaborate any, or are you just going to lay there and look terrified??"
He sat up slowly. "I'm from the other place." He didn't know why he just told her but he felt like he could trust her. She did try very hard to save his life after all.
She raised an eyebrow "well you're here now. Lay your ass back down or I swear to the gods you won't have to worry about you're little secret much longer. I'm still waiting on my healer to stop by so I dobt have to worry about you bleeding all over the place... Again" where the fuck was John??!
He reluctantly laid back down. "I assume you're not a kid of Apollo." He sighed.John was sitting under a tree pretending to read. He was actually watching Isabella.
"far from it. Hermes. And you are lucky I was on duty and not one of the other incompetent assholes" she waved an hand dismissively "what about you?? You are the only person whose body rejected ambrosia, nectar, antibiotics, and painkillers" she glared at him "how do i know this?? I found out the hard way"Isabella was idly sketching in the sunshine, drawing nothing in particular until her eyes flashed a milky white. She paused and raised her eyes from the sketchbook, scanning the area around her
"Apollo. For some reason, I can only be healed from serious wounds by magic or another child of Apollo." He told her. He saw her looking around and pretended to read again. He hoped she didn't catch his staring.
She sighed and took a seat rubbing her eyes, feeling exhausted "great. Just great. You are on watch until I feel like you won't pop like a goddamn overstuffed sausage... Or until I get John in here after I kill him"Isabella looked over over her shoulder and raised an eyebrow at him, as if reading his thoughts. Her visions could sometimes just be that specific
"Did I get a concussion?" He looked up at her. "I can't remember some things."He could feel her stare and looked up from his book. "Yes?"
"do you at least remember your name????" she looked at himShe gathered up her things and then got up, sitting across from him "nothing. Your name is John, right??? I'm pretty sure I have seen you around here a few times"
He thought for a moment. "UK." He didn't want to say his full name to her yet.He smiled at her. "Yeah, and you're Isabella. Nice to meet you."
"UK??? Huh. That's certainly different. I liked Larry better" for the first time since she started to talk to him a small smile seemed to tug at the corners of her mouth She shook his hand with a smile, then flipped it over to get a glance at his palm. Normally that would be it, but she frowned suddenly "do you.... Die a lot??"
"I'm not some made up person from Impractical Jokers." He laughed a little but it hurt. He smiled seeing her smile."It's something I try to avoid." He nodded. "does it say anything else?"
"well I asked your opinion about it.. Hut you weren't exactly awake to protest." she noticed him wince in pain and the smile started to fade a little bit "are you sure it's just magic that can fix you up???""avoid Megan. She's pretty ticked..... At you" her lips curled up in a smile "I didn't really read that. That's why I came over here"
"Nothing else has worked." He said, laying back down. "You're welcome to try." "Must be about Larry. How did you know?" He asked her, looking inter her eyes.
"that is an absolute no sir!!!" she pointed her finger at him "im not having you just die. I'm tired of reviving your ass""im a daughter of Apollo,...... And a powerful psychic. I know things...." she said mysteriously "like that embarrassing thing that happened in third grade that you desperately want to forget"

She raised her eyebrows, not impressed by his pretty words "you'd break my record. That would be bad for me".She blinked "uhhhhhhhhhhhh.........." she looked down, thinking for a moment. Then she looked at him "i have no idea"
"Glad to hear you care more about your record than..." His eyes closed and he passed out.He nodded. "I've been to a lot of people in all different places. They all said the same thing. Either the gods love me or they hate me."
She rushed forward to check on him, then sighed when she realized he was OK. "cared about her record more than what?? More than him??? She barely knew him. And yet.... She shook her head and pulled up a chair beside the cot and settled down, telling herself it was to make sure he stayed alive and not something else" well it depends..... Do you like being unable to actually die???" she asked him
As he slept, golden light shown through his bandages. He didn't have a dream, it was more of him remembering what happened to him."I mean I'd rather not die but coming back to life is okay. I haven't died in a month so that's good." He sighed and got up. "Speaking of death, I think I should go help Megan."
She watched him as he slept, squinting her eyes as the light started to seep through his bandages "what the fuck????""I have a feeling that your little sign of 'days from last accident' is going to drop down to 0" she looked up at him "she has two knives" she warned him
He got to the part where he was stabbed and jerked awake again. He grabbed his side and winced. He hadn't finished healing. "Shelby you motherfucker." He muttered."Wouldn't be the first time she threatened me but the first time she killed me. Great. Death by Megan." He held out his hand. "Maybe if you come with me then I'll live."
In that time Megan started to doze off again... Only to jerk awake at the same time UK did "" why is Shelby a mother fucker?? "She looked up at him and her eyes did that weird opaque thing. Then they cleared and she nodded" that should work. " she took his hand and stood up
He looked over at her. "What? Oh. Nothing. Just the person who stabbed me." He told her."Thanks." He started walking then realized he was still holding her hand.
"and why did she stab you???" she asked nonchalantly like she didn't have a care in the world. But she did, deep down. And that kind of worried herShe glanced down at their hands, then looked back up at him "come on. The sooner we get it over with the better" she started walking again, still holding onto his hand
"Personal reasons." He sighed and turned over on his side. "Who found me?"He smiled and walked with her. "Is she still very mad?" He asked.
She shrugged and straightened herself up in her chair "I don't really have an idea. Some unknown camper""she's calmed down a little.... But you know how she has a tendency to flare up sometimes" she reminded him
"Were you here when they brought me in?' He looked over at her."Are you sure she's not an Ares kid?" He joked.
"yeah. It was supposed to be just a normal, nice and easy shift, full of broken bones and ankle sprains" she sighed "and then you showed up""absolutely positive. Have you seen the pranks she has pulled???" she asked
