Another way would be to members and see if you can find them there as well. By tapping on their names, all of their posts come up.
This works great as long as their name isn't something like Amy or Susan...we have a lot of those.

Thank you. I started through the Members list but it is loooooong.
I will be patient and wait until they post to their personal challenge space. :D

Well that's an even better idea!
For some reason, I thought I could send a PM to a group member unless we were friends already.
Thank you for the tip! I'll try it!

Johanna, there should be an edit button in the bottom right corner of every comment, between reply and delete. Are you using the desktop version? Editing comments is not possible in the app.

Amy, you don't have to make a member corner if you don't want to. It is all up to you! You can keep track of all the books you read in your personal challenge topic :)

I suggest bookmarking it.

Thanks Blagica! It works from the link and it shows in the folder when I pull it up on my laptop but not in my app. I'm gonna delete the app and reload it to see if it shows up. Thanks again for your help!

Newbie at posting entries :)
How do I edit my entry (on my member's corner)? I'd like to be able to edit my entry every time I've read a new book etc. I am using Google Chrome as my browser on my phone, but I can't seem to find any edit button. Please help me :)

It must have been a bug, because everything is allright now ;)

Goodreads.com has good days and bad days, and we just have to be patient sometimes.

I tried to add a link to a book in my post in the 2019 reading challenge (1-25) by using the square brackets.
The title The Great Sea shows up in the post as a link, but when I click it after posting the app seems to hang with the message “loading...”.
I am using the iPhone Goodreads app.
Could you please help me?
Thanks!

I checked out the link and it seems to work (on a desktop), but it links to the search results for The Great Sea, not the book itself.
I generally recommend using the desktop version of the site (on a pc or your phone), for anything more complicated than reading comments, as the app still lacks a lot of functions. In the desktop version there is the option add book/author just above the comment box that you could use to add a link to your book.
Hope this helps!

I don't normally include short stories. Novella, yes, but not short stories.
Anyone got thoughts on this?

Smee, I hardly read any graphic novels or short stories, but if I do I count them towards my challenge, and I think that most people do.
If you would like to have responses from many members, it is best to create a topic in our Group Discussions folder.

Ilona and Kristin (who are both great Moderators!) gave you great answers, but I'm going to give you the official Group Answer we have been giving since the group began:
If you count it as a book, we count it as a book! It's up to you.
I think most people know after they have read something whether they have read something of substance or not.

Thank you :)!

~ Please do not nominate books that are part of a series, unless it is the first book in a series. I would stick to just starting at number 1 and if it gets chosen you can always continue the series as a Buddy Read. I will double check with the other Mods just to be sure.

Hi Marc, you can vote for the April group read here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/list/5...

Caroline, I moved your peronal challenge thread to the 51-75 folder. You can find it here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/....
Best of luck with your new goal! :)

Sorry in advance if I'm replying to something I shouldn't, but that's actually a great idea!!

Hi James.
Thank you for your input, we appreciate it. Discord is a great tool and I use it a lot for gaming related communities. We have decided however it's not right for this group for different reasons.

It can be a bit of a dicey decision to make, especially with so many trolls out there.

Tammie, you may count all the books that you've read this year for the yearly challenges. :)

Of course! Just to be sure (I don't wanna delete the wrong thread by accident), this is the one you're referring to, right?https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
