So are they saying things like Animal Farm will not be allowed?
Feels like Fahrenheit 451 is no longer science fiction.
They contacted my son's agent and asked to publish his indie work.
Sound like they are looking for new content- The agent has some old school "tame" romance authors and they wanted that kind of stuff. He asked me about it and I told him Radish is filled with more spicy material.

I've recently applied to Radish because I'd heard so much about it and now I'm seeing this thread while researching. @Amy, I was wondering if you could link the guidelines by the erotic romance publisher? I'm interested in reading it.

Hi Sarah, it's still me! I reverted back to my real name last year, Amy is my pen name. All four of my titles are still on Radish Fiction under my pen name (and still largely unread!)
One publisher I tried has their guidelines here: https://www.totallyentwinedgroup.com/...
What is not acceptable is similar for the others I tried years ago.

Thank you so much for your reply! I'm going to pitch a supernatural erotic thriller with BDSM elements to the app but all the works I've looked at so far (even if marked erotica) appear relatively vanilla and I began to wonder if it was a good fit.
I'm sorry to hear about your books. It seems like a real hit or miss on that app. A lot of authors left wattpad (that were doing well) or cross post there. I publish almost everywhere but apps seem to be the next evolution of publishing and I'm trying them out and seeing if anything sticks.
Again, thanks so much for the reply.

I think if someone had a following on Wattpad, they could do well on Radish if they could convince their readers to switch. I had no following and therefore no readers. When I was writing for them it seemed that the only books they wanted to feature under their weekly headings had bare male torsos on the cover. That might have changed. It seemed to be an OK place for romance and hardly anything else. I haven't looked at it in months, only to check that my four titles were still up there, purely out of interest. And lastly, I was only accepted because someone recommended me. When I applied off my own back, I was rejected.

Super sorry for the really late reply! I need to get on these forums more.
I ended up pitching one of my novels, but it was denied. It wasn't romance or erotica. I might pitch again, not sure.
I'm posting to Tapas now and really enjoying it. They allow you to monetize with ads between chapters after one of your stories gets 100 subscribers. I've got about 51 now all together and with weekly updates, I'm confident I'll get to 100. They have tons of other opportunities as well and have a very welcoming and diverse community. I think it might be the app for me :)
If I end up writing a paranormal romance, I might try Radish again, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what might happen with Tapas.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe they have open submissions right now for ideas to be turned into comics :)
