Melitta has white bedding, a few gray and light pink colored pillows, and a light gray blanket laid across the end of her bed. There are string lights hung over her bed ((on the wall)) and trailing over to the desk and there are many polaroid pictures hung on the lights with clear clips. She has a laptop on her desk and books stuffed into the shelves surrounding it and bed. There is a white polaroid camera sitting on the desk next to a framed photo of her horse, Coco. Melitta has a whole bunch of songs on her iTunes account and all of the photos she has taken are on her laptop. She has a clear record player on a side table near her bed with a whole bunch of records stacked under it and around it. Sitting in the corner of her side of the dorm is her camera case with her camera in it, a white backpack, riding boots and a white duffle bag with all her riding equipment. Melitta loves to print out special memories and make scrapbooks out of those pictures. She will also make her closest friends scrapbooks.

Next to that rumpled bed was a night stand with a Bluetooth record player on it. It could play music off her phone if she had a blank record, or music from a normal record. It had been a “your leaving me forever” present from one of her friends. Along with that were POPS standing around it (harry Potter and marvel). And notebook leaning against it and on the floor around it.
The walls had a few posters, mostly Marvel or Star Wars, and a few hand draw pictures from her little cousins.
The only thing that let on that a girl was living in this room was the photo tacked up by the window. It was Julia and her friends and her towns old ice-cream parlor. One of her friends, Sabrina, was shoving ice cream in the nose of Julia while the other friend, Annabelle, took a selfie.

((I'll start))
Melitta sat on her white bed with her computer, her camera sitting beside her and an SD card inserted into the computer. Also on the bed, is the Geometry homework that she has yet to start. She has her planner, many colored highlighters, and multicolored pens with the spread out homework.
On her laptop, Melitta was editing a photo she took of Coco earlier that morning. She had woken up early and went out for a ride on her horse. The scenery was lovely and, with Coco being just recently groomed, Melitta decided to take a picture of the memory. She had also taken polaroids of the sunrise and those are too scattered around her homework.
In the corner of the room, Ottis Redding was playing on the Record player. She has already changed the record twice before, both being oldies. Melitta loves all of the oldies and has many types of vinyl like Ottis.

She glanced at her record player then at her roomate, "Oooookay." She muttered and reached for one of her notebooks. It was the second instalment one of the book she was trying to write. Only about 6 or seven chapters fit into a notebook, depending on length.
Julia really should have been doing her homework. Really. But, Geometry wasn't sparking her interest at the moment, and she never did her Earth Science until it was 5 minutes before the bell.

Finally feeling satisfied with the photo, Melitta saved it and added it to a folder called 'Coco'. She has folders for everything. Nature, birthdays, animals, you name it and she has it. She exits out of photoshop and opens up her geometry notes. Mel transfers all of her handwritten notes into documents and uses that so her backpack isn't heavy.
Suddenly, someone kicks open the door and she see's that it is her roommate. Though they have yet to meet, she saw a picture of three girls up on the wall near the window. That is how she recognized the stranger who just barged into the dorm.
She watched as her roommate plopped down onto her messy bed for a few seconds then sat up. Melitta looked away as she looked her way. She heard her mumble but could not catch what she said. Looking up again, she saw her pick up a notebook.
Melitta debated if she should say something or not but, while she was thinking, the music stopped playing. She sat there for a few seconds then went to her record player and took off the vinyl. Feeling like she should try to make conversation, she asked, "Do have any music preference?"

music.... OH RIGHT! "I really don't have a preference." Julia said carefully, slowly. "I mean, my playlist ranges from Disney to heavy metal." She laughed airily.

"Oh, okay," Melitta said then walked over to her vinyl collection and started to look through it. Once she found what she was looking for, she walked back to her clear record player. She places down a pictured vinyl in the player and started the first song.
The introduction song to 'The Lion King' starts to play as Melitta sits back down on her bed. She glances over at her roommate to see if she would like her choice, not wanting to make her any more uncomfortable than she already seemed.

Don't get to excited, remember, that scare people off She took a breath, "I mean, I haven't seen a vinyl in my town's music store." She still stared at her knees.

Mel realized that she had to go to US History. Her study hall was finished and she was going to be late if she did not hurry. "Shoot," she mumbled and quickly gathered her things together. She waved at Julia, "It was nice to finally meet you." She opened the doorknob and walked to class.
