Midhu Krishnan Well Zoe you know whatsapp is pretty much handy. I appreciate all those things done by goodreads for us. But what I am trying to tell is that we should connect each other in more handy platform like whatsapp for our book love.
Thanks for your suggestion Zoe.

Zoe Radley | 558 comments I prefer good reads tbh and it’s much safer than WhatsApp I’d rather not have someone I don’t know have my number sorry

NancyJ (nancyjjj) "Build it and they will come."

Every generation has book lovers who need to be able to find other book lovers, but we're all using different technology. You could build a group on whatsapp to help connect people in your generation, using the tech that's handy to them.

Keep planting seeds (mentioning your ideas) in different places on this site and that one, keep building your networks, and you'll find like minded people.

You might not succeed in getting many people here to move (because we're comfortable), but some might check it out. If you try, you might even become a *connector/node/influencer that links different groups in some way. You could introduce a few of them to the resources of goodreads, or to an indepth discussion in this group. And you could introduce a few of us to a new way of communicating.

I know there are a lot of readers out there that would love to discuss books, but haven't found the right way to connect.

That app might be the perfect way to meet a need that people didn't even know they had.

* There are a lot of different terms to describe this concept. The ability to build networks and connect people is a valuable skill set and is becoming more crucial every year. Plus it makes life more fun.
