Is there an option for authors to add a question to prospective new friends who invite authors to friend? Regular Goodreaders have this. If there is no option, can we get one? If it exists, how can we access it?

Hi Betsy! You should find a way to set a challenge question (and optional answer) under the "Friend Requests" header on the Settings tab of your user profile settings. Remember to click the "Save account settings" button at the bottom of the page to submit changes.

Without your hotlink to settings, I'd never have found it. For others with this problem:

Click edit your author profile
Then on upper right of that edit screen, choose edit user profile.

Mystery solved.
