Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. When Emerson tragically passes away, she leaves one final wish for her best friends: to conquer the fears they still carry as adults.

For each of them, that means something different. For Marley, it's coming to terms with the survivor's guilt she's carried around since her twin sister's death, which has left her blind to the real chance for romance in her life. For Georgia, it's about learning to stop trying to live up to her mother's and brother's ridiculous standards, and learning to accept the love her ex-husband has tried to give her.

But as Marley and Georgia grow stronger, the real meaning of Emerson's dying wish becomes truly clear: more than anything, she wanted her friends to love themselves.

up to chapter 9 (view spoiler)[ So far I'm a little bored. I hope it gets more interesting than this. It's cute and sweet, but a bit boring. I don't typically read contemporary novels, so I hope it picks up. I am finding myself emotionally connecting with the characters though. I like G a lot, and I think Marley will probably grow on me. I think it's really sweet that G is involved in Mason's life so much, the poor kid needs someone who encourages him to be himself. I think the list is a great idea, honestly it makes me want to make one. (hide spoiler)]

end of ch 12 (view spoiler)[ Wow Georgia is OBSESSED with her weight. I can't imagine what it must be like for her. She definitely struggles with some eating disorders. I always picture people with eating disorders as skinny, but I guess that isn't accurate, is it? As a person who has never struggled with weight, except trying to gain it, this is a real eye opener to me. (hide spoiler)]

end of ch 20 (view spoiler)[ Okay, it has gotten a lot more interesting. Wow! Camden is heartless! Why invite a girl you used to sleep with out for drinks with your new girlfriend? Just to rub it in her face? To say, we won't sleep together again? It's such a passive aggressive move. He's an ass. Even if he likes to think that he was just inviting a friend out to meet his girlfriend, he's deluding himself. Such a dick move. I can't believe him. Honestly though, Marley is much better off with a guy like Will. She won't always feel like she's not good enough for him. He is a bit awkward, but he clearly actually likes her.

I think Georgia is actually really sick. Losing weight like that isn't good. She either has an ulcer, or something seriously wrong with her stomach. I am nervous to see what happens at the doctors appointment. (hide spoiler)]

up to ch 30 (view spoiler)[ Okay, so Marley really grew on me. She is so sweet and empathetic that she cries at nearly everything.
I think Georgia's doctor was kind of rude about her losing weight. I also think that the magic show was hilarious. Hunter is so unsupportive of Mason, thankfully he has Georgia. They took the lists so seriously that it has really changed their lives. I'm so proud of Mason. I wonder if Georgia and Rafe are going to get back together, she obviously still loves him. I don't think she's meant to be with Evan, he is so unremarkable.

Marley and Will are actually really sweet together. It's humorous because she is so loving, outgoing and loud and he is so quiet, reserved and introverted. It's hard to read him and tell when he shows emotion, but that makes it all the sweeter. (hide spoiler)]

Finally got to this! So far so good! I will go back and read your comments when I get a little further in! She is one of my favorite authors, although this book has a bit of a different tone to it
