Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments This year's Christmas stories!

Firstly, for Christmas Eve, India and Rohan were trying to work as a team, and not entirely succeeding!

And on Christmas Day, Josiah had a surprise for Archibald:

Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments In all honesty, I'd forgotten that I was ever a member of UKAuthors until FB reminded me the other day! Now I've remembered, I thought it might be quite fun to post the very first Undertakers story there and see what people think, so here it is:

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4836 comments Still chuckling. I think the Dunning/Kruger effect applies to Mr. Archibald. Unleaded was genius.

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4836 comments It's people who behave as if they were short and it bothered them who are the problem, including several I won't mention present and recently past, who are actually tall and have the brain of gnats.

And always good to get a message from you too, Alicia! Thanks.
On reflection, publishing this story at the exact moment the U.K. Government decided to implode may not have been one of my shrewdest moves ;-)

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4836 comments When I watch British politics, I'm glad they're not mine - ours are far worse, but a different feel.

That said, I don't know HOW some politicians hang on against all logic - not just British ones. It is non trivial to unseat them, and replacements have their own quirks. Good luck.

I think we'll need it, Alicia! Strange times we live in ;-)

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4836 comments This morning's major newspapers brought the news. I still don't get him - how a rich, entitled insider gets people to vote for him (don't worry - I'm not sure we aren't worse on this side of the pond!) - Brexit?

Not my place to comment - hope the aftermath isn't too disruptive for my friends.

message 432: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments Well remember, he's standing in the house of Commons being called a liar by somebody who told the House and the electorate that Jeremy Corbyn was the best person to put forward for Prime Minister, then stabbed him in the back and kicked him out of the party.
Boris probably lacks the chutzpah to be a politician :-)

message 433: by Alicia (new)

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4836 comments The best liars are more plausible, but after a while...
