Review:
Lily is on medical leave due to the hallucinations caused by mindspeak with Sam the Dragon. So Lily & Rule go to DC to meet with Reuben, Head of Unit 12. Sam sends a message that Lily should go to Ohio but Rule should stay in DC.
From there all hell breaks loose. Arrests, kidnappings, disappearences & an egomaniac NSA bureaucrat, with a minor charisma talent who thinks only he should be in charge of supernaturals, including the dragons. He doesn't care who is collateral damage.
We meet Demi, a 17yr old girl with Aspergers who is also a touch sensitive. She is also on the run from our NSA monster. And Brownies, lots of brownies.
A wonderful ending, but we are still left with a couple of questions. Where are the other children & where is Cullen & who is Tom really?

Review: Mia Snow, Alien Investigation and Removal agent, seeks the alien responsible for multiple kidnappings and murders. Alien Kyrin en Arr is one of the alien race she is seeking. However, his help in saving her partner's life is highly necessary and working with him is threatening her sworn duty. Her investigation draws her to him and reveals secrets that are shocking. A good urban fantasy but not as well drawn as other series I've read.

She's 2 books behind, not including this week.
I'll request our paranormal stamp....still waiting on the Free Sapce stamp.

Book: Jane's Warlord

Review: Reporter Jane Colby responds to the scene of a grotesque murder that even the cops have trouble dealing with. Returning home afterward she finds a man and a talking wolf in her house with a story about coming from the future to protect her from the serial killer who's work she has just returned from. She is on the killer's hit list. The story was suspenseful between sex scenes. There was some humor particularly around the talking wolf and her pet cat. However, it could have used a good editor; lots of grammar mistakes threw me out of the story and the time travel concepts didn't really seem believable.

Review:
The Earth of Universe 1 is in need of Matchmakers! Lots of alien races need wives and Earth has signed treaties with them to provide wives so we are protected from the bad aliens.
So they kidnap Erin & Angus from Earth of Universe 6, from 500 years in the past, 1950's. This is the joy of the Multi-Verses, people are very similar so when the original matchmakers die they replace them, so the treaties with the alien races can be fulfilled.
We get a lot of snark from Erin & grovelling from Angus, as they had a past where he was grieving his dead wife. They worked together to matchmake Angus's 7 children, so they've had practice.
Overall, it was bad sci-fi world building and despite a lot a reviewers saying this was funny, I didn't find it funny at all. Got pretty sick of the Irish-Scotish swearing every time they opened their mouths to be honest. I did enjoy the story despite this and I eventually warmed up to the characters. I might read the other 2 books in the series, the MCs have been introduced already and I'd like to see the HEAs.

Review: I haven't seen the movie yet, but its excellent fantasy book. I love the story and characters. I think I would have enjoyed this book more when I was in my early teens. It talks about missing father and his daughter and youngest sun go looking him. They also take their friend with them. They fight against mind controlling evil and discover other planets. It made me miss my childhood.

Sorry about that. I was updating our stats , reading discussions and posting freebies. Too many windows opened at the same time.

It's been on my shelf for a long time and even if the 4th book might never be published I can't help reading about Rhiannon. She resilient, resourceful when information and knowledge is available. I believe the republished edition has more dialogues and maybe the world is more fleshed out.
I liked the dark post-apocalyptic reality that Rhiannon finds herself in with humans becoming extinct. I was a bit dissatisfied with the ending racking up so many unresolved storylines but there is still another book to read before a never ending wait.

Since none of my requests from October 12th were processed....I grouped all 3 stamp requests in the same post.

I wanna read the book first and then watch the TV show. My mom really loves it though.

You might be right. I made the request again just for good measure...

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'free space', 'paranormal romance' and 'time travel'.
[Your updated BINGO card can be viewed on page 1]
Good Job!! :D

Yep, I'll try this one, pretty sure it won't matter that I haven't read the other books :D

Review: First I found this book so not my cup. I love steamy romance novels, but I do want it to have bit of story as well if you know what I mean. In the end there was bit of story. It even surprised me in some parts, so overall it was great read, if you want something easy to read.

Review: Ian Walsh is a fire-fighter and a member of the local Motorcycle Club. He was raised in the Club and they are like family but his moral code does not lie with them. Rory Sorenson owns the local gun shop, hers since the death of her parents 3 years prior. Rory is socially awkward having been home-schooled in the bunker built below the gun shop. She also walks a fine line, having a small side-line in not-so-legal arms. Both have had a crush on each other since childhood and as they begin to explore it events occur which threatens them, namely a raid on the gun shop with lethal results and Ian's implication in a local murder. The side characters on the Search & Rescue team are well drawn and the overstretching mystery pulls a lot of threads to carry into future volumes. I had some trouble with the heavy pro-gun attitudes and motorcycle culture. It is not my philosophy but it was a good romance and action-filled story.

Since I've read her Pride series first and loved it....I was expecting more of the same.
I must admit I was disappointed a little bit because the story was not fleshed out, quite a few repetitive scenes and some shifter lore that was well established in her Pride series was very briefly touched.
I liked that Zach was not a nice guy and did stuff that, if I had been the heroine, I would not have stood for it and shown him where the door was real quick.
Sara, aside from being told that she was dependable and sometimes went crazy....it did not have the draw as a character that her Pride series does.
I can't stop making comparisons so let's just say I enjoyed it at times, found it boring at others so that's why it has only 3 stars because I know she writes better.

Review: Mercy is recovering from the personal trauma experienced in the previous book, and at the same time dealing with the repercussions of killing the vampire queen Marsilia's right hand man and his demon creation. Since Marsilia's left hand man, Stefan, protected Mercy both are to be punished. But since Mercy has the protection of the Pack, Marsilia goes after people close to Mercy. Thinking to lessen the danger to her friends Mercy goes out of town to aid an old friend. Most of this book deals with that matter with plenty of action and danger. Another great story.

Review:
Young innocent rich girl, browbeaten by her father, ends up married to the wrong guy. And 12 years later she needs the help of the right guy, who is still holding a grudge, as Eve was the love of his life and he doesn't know why it all fell apart. Still.
So Billy is one of the Black Knights, supposedly a MC gang, but in fact undercover govt spy types. Eve has been having suspicious accidents and no one believes her, they just think its accidents. So as her best friend is married to the boss of the Black Knights, she goes there for help.
More accidents, angst & more angst between Eve & Billy, a few red herrings and more bullets flying.
It was quite well written, but Eve who is now 30, divorced, and has taken self defence training flops between being a dweeb & slightly badass, and everyone thinks she a delicate flower. So not my cup of tea in a heroine. Billy needed to get over himself. I did pick the killer fairly early but the red herrings had me doubting myself for a little while.
