I love the comparison of a physical book to a shark and I also very much agree that reading fiction builds empathy. Thanks for sharing!

BOSTON (where my son is going to conservatory/university/college has an incredible main branch and it is a popular tourist spot. If you ever visit Boston, be sure to visit it. The newer part is fabulous, but the older part FABULOUS. American artist John Sargent spent the better part of 20 years painting murals there, plus some other artists painted. Apparently at least one of his is controversial, but it's still historically significant. Plus the architecture, marble and many other great things make it a great spot. Oh, yes, and there are books in the library (shocking, I know) plus many other resources.
It's conveniently located near Copley Square and not that far from the Boston Public Gardens (home of the Make Way for Duckings statues and the swan boats) and Boston Commons and various and sundry other points of interest. Dang but I am starting to sound like a travel brochure--see how excited I get about libraries????

City of Sydney just opened a new one this week. I'm excited already"
It looks fabulous! That grand piano is really something, too.
