The Gods That Failed: How the Financial Elite Have Gambled Away Our Futures

another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of
financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of
each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be
controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting
in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and
conferences. The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International
Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by
the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations."
Prof. Carroll Quigley (Tragedy & Hope)

The only question is if this problem of the 1%’rs controlling everyone else’s money systems is moral and systemic and not legally being stopped by anyone then:
1. Are the 1% moral and spiritual actually and have our best interests in mind? (If so then that’s not bad they control it if we’ll all get enough and more than enough for our own creations and lives).
That certainly isn’t the case though. As a historian I have come across medieval texts saying “oh we didn’t let such and such culture into our borders because although they don’t deal in the slave trade they bring about practices that make wage slaves of people which is not permittable here.” (Paraphrase).
Now how is it they could figure this out in Medieval times but the 80-90% can’t figure out they have become slave laborers to the 1% who ruin their destiny and lives and creativity and cosmic purpose by requiring them to work all day and then these folk are allowing themselves to become such cogs for them? One in 1900 used to be able as a father working alone, while wife stayed at home, to support a whole family and make enough to build and own a house in a couple years. Now the system is set up so one person has to work two 8+ a day jobs sleep and do it again daily just to not even fully pay bills and modest house and car payments. Why are people not waking up! See answer to point 2.
So we have established that. They are not moral or spiritual.
Then
2: if they are so immoral and illegal why is no one stopping them today?
Before, there were uprises and beheadings when upper class would get as they periodically do: nepotistically greedy and indifferent to the base peoples that make up the temple of any society.
So the diagnosis is a strange modern apathy has dug into moderns or fear or isolation and no sense of a communal band of people in a cause.
It is like rotting parts on a fruit. Were it healthy it might produce some chemical to ward off a growing problem in it’s stem say but since it is rotting it just let’s the stem problem grow right to it’s core without defence. And then in many cultures historically a rotten stem of a group of opportunistic people at the top will stay in place for a very long time ruining things.
So I never blame a victim ever but I can charge that the victims today have a strange malaise and indifference one can only call psychological and moral sleep.
That seems the main issue at fault here. Were there people who could “reawaken the ents” so to speak then all on earth would be solved and work if:
3. Is the postulation false that when humans don’t work hard on physical labor or doing something to earn and make their living they beccome priviliged and violent and evil or is this a myth keeping point 1 mentioned above eternally in place because the 1% really believe this so they have to keep us busy and preoccupied?
This is a myth that needs to be broken both at the top and the bottom.
There are people today among the 1% like the two founders of google who are trying to break this myth that keeps the messed up system in place. I saw an interview with them and they said the technology is now in place and ready to where man on earth from now on would no longer have to work but instead machines will do everything. They said they want this! The problem is they said that people do not yet know what to do psychologically with their free time they have eun experiments and shown. They would grow restless and erratic.
So this needs to be proven too and affirmed to see if that and the malaise are the two problems and we actually have a base heavy not top heavy problem in this crumbling present temple of a system.
In conclusion we either have people at the top or people at the bottom rightly or wrongly believing they can’t do anything to change this system politically and people at the top or bottom who rightly or wrongly think people would go mad without it.
Once we resolve these matters, let’s say all become a brotherhood of self willed hard working creative Tesla’s then earth will no longer have this problem. Till then it is a problem it seems related to the above conclusion.

Absolute power (as defined by great fiscal wealth) is rampant in the USA... it's what Corporations use to dictate social and political power, and which they use to destroy the environment around the world. The increasing number of impoverished peoples, both here in the USA and everywhere else; the destruction of our environment, which is now being promoted by our Republican Party and our ignoramus in the White House, is the result of bad choices, bad decisions and corruption in our economic sector by our wealthy corporations, and above them, the Economic Elite.. the One Percenters. They cannot escape the environmental Armageddon that they are causing, but they think they can. They are destroying our world... our only Island in a dark and cold sea of stars. The rising number of us who are homeless is a symptom of this failure of our social system, caused by our failure to promote healthy business practices...because we are obsessed with catching up with the Joneses.. the wealthy who have achieved independence of participation in our Democracy and who are now entrenched and controlling our economy, our social systems, all the artifacts of our dying civilization.

The only question is if this problem of the 1%’rs controlling everyone..."
Great post, P.D.
I think you ask many valid questions
Although I think the 1% vs 99% concept (that went mainstream after the Occupy movement) is useful, I also think it's overly simplistic.
The problem is most of the people in the top 1% are not the enemy of the common people. So it gets the 99% focusing on the wrong people.
A better term would be the 99.999999% vs the .000001% (or thereabouts!)
Those pulling the strings, in my opinion, are often unknown or at least little known individuals in Old World aristocratic families. The likes of politicians, bankers and virtually all those on the Forbes rich lists are beneath the real elite in terms of actual wealth/assets/power.

Excellent excerpt my friend!
I wonder how many of our group members here still doubt these facts & still regard them as 'Conspiracy Theories'?

For weeks now, the media and “health” authorities have relentlessly promoted a fear-inducing narrative about the Covid 19 “pandemic” as if the daily count of new “cases” were a major public health emergency, sensationalized by the media nearly 24/7. The official narrative is sharply at odds with the gathering voices from hundreds of doctors, virologists and epidemiologists.

Since the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2008, many people around the world have been questioning whether there are certain figures or groups manipulating financial markets behind the scenes.
This speculation intensified with the ensuing government bailouts of privately owned banking institutions ahead of the millions of citizens facing bankruptcy.
As a result, many in the West now regularly second-guess their governments and assess any “financial relief packages” or “economic stimulus plans” with a high degree of suspicion and cynicism.
What certain corrupt politicians and so-called business leaders may have overlooked is that the public are not stupid, and what the average person lacks in specific knowledge of financial markets they make up for in spades with street smarts and life experience. That and the masses have finally caught on to what has been going on for decades, if not centuries, with the money men of the world.
There’s a growing awareness in the general population of large-scale financial corruption by the global elite, or the 1%, if you will.
Surveys have also shown that a big percentage of the public feel they’re being manipulated by corporations, banks, international interests and the media as well as by politicians who appear to have less respect for voters than ever before.
It’s almost as if the public sense there must exist within government little-known powerbrokers who are not for the people, but actually against them. Powerbrokers who are essentially thieves operating in the shadows and getting richer and richer at the expense of the average citizen.
Let’s face it, it’s a really perverse world where we have almost unlimited military expenditure to finance wars, where our governments readily bail out privately-owned banks with multi-trillion dollar relief packages, and yet politicians tell us there is not enough money to cover the measly costs of our own citizens' basic healthcare, food, education and shelter.
As to the question of who is responsible for this gigantic financial inequity, the prime suspects are the banking elite who are clearly some of the most powerful and influential people on the planet.
They shape the modern world far more than politicians do in our opinion. After all, money can buy administrations. Some would even argue money can buy elections as well.
As a result of the public waking up to these sophisticated undercurrents beneath the surface of almost every major financial fraud, bankers are now held in about as high regard as criminal defence lawyers, used-car salesmen, debt collectors, arms traders and even drug traffickers.
We trust all this justifies our usage of the word bankster to describe throughout this book the morally questionable banking profession. Bankster, by the way, is a portmanteau or blend word derived from combining “banker” and “gangster”. Its plural form, “banksters,” refers to the commonly acknowledged predatory element operating within the financial sector.
We should point out, however, that whenever we use the term bankster it always denotes a high-level banker holding a senior position in the likes of major Wall Street banks, the Vatican Bank, the US Federal Reserve or the World Bank. So rest assured, the bank manager at your local branch is not (usually) a “bankster” and is unlikely to have been associated with any of the explosive financial crimes mentioned in this book.
This book is divided into two sections. Part One outlines the problems we’ve identified in banking and finance, while Part Two proposes possible solutions.
The first section is necessary because in order to consider solutions the problems must first be identified and dissected. Many books in this “exposing corruptions” genre offer no solutions to the problems; we hope you will agree that INTERNATIONAL BANKSTER$ is not one of those.
In Part One, titled The Financial Overlords, we cover many of the major financial issues the world is enduring right now. Subjects include: the secret world of “black money” and the elite banking dynasties; the central banking system and the true nature of the US Federal Reserve; the less-than-holy financial activities of the Vatican Bank; the IMF and World Bank’s sometimes less-than-charitable dealings with the Third World; the austerity measures currently being inflicted on vulnerable nations like Greece; as well as the theory that the world’s money supply is essentially being created out of thin air.
In Part Two, titled Potential Solutions, we propose ideas for creating a fairer economic system. These ideas include: publicly owned banks; utilizing certain aspects of Islamic banking which may be compatible with Western banking systems; exploring whether capitalism and socialism can actually work in tandem; arguing the case to maintain but restructure capitalism; and predicting how cybermoney, or cryptocurrencies, will influence the world economy in the next few years.
We view the subjects covered in this book as being monetary issues on the surface only. In reality, they are humanitarian issues.
Starving the masses of financial opportunities, sinking them in debt and cheating them out of various services their taxes should pay for, are among the greatest sins those in power can commit. These sins result in widespread poverty, unemployment, increased crime rates, homelessness, drug addiction, overcrowded prisons and a whole host of other social problems.
We hope this book will contribute to the growing awareness in the mass populace that there is, contrary to what the Establishment tells us, enough wealth in the world to fix most of the biggest challenges our planet is currently facing.
