I started today since I was off and I work 6 days straight next week.

OMG! This book already. I thought I would go insane with her proclamation that she's not insane.

Yay! I'm excited to listen to the audio since I read this one last time.

It was hard to get used to the audio. It was irritating because I didn't know what the scratching noise was.

I was wondering how they did all the scratched out parts. I'll give it a try and switch to reading it if I don't like it, lol. But since I've read it once, maybe it will be ok.

It was fine once I understood what it was. I thought there was something wrong with the audio.

I just so happen to have grabbed the library hard copy and glanced through. I saw the scratched out parts a head of timing. It was briefly alarm until I remembered that part.

Ok what just happened with Adam in chapter 8?

Can you imagine not being able to touch anyone or that no one can touch you? How about being thrown into a dark hole/prison? I think I would struggle with my sanity, too.


I love the descriptive writing! This is one of my favorite quotes.

“I always wonder about raindrops.

I wonder about how they're always falling down, tripping over their own feet, breaking their legs and forgetting their parachutes as they tumble right out of the sky toward an uncertain end. (view spoiler)[Wasn't that some crap! First, he is put in there with her when she hasn't had any company for 264 days. Then, she realizes that it is Adam and that she knows him. The boy she liked from school but that he doesn't know her. Then he is taken and she wants to protect him and wait it turns out he is a solider part of the enemy. WTH! (hide spoiler)]

Hilo! I finished last night at 10:44. I plan on getting the second book soon. I loved this book.

I like the narrator, too. It was the scratching I didn't understand at first.

I can understand why Juliette has struggled with her sanity and her humanity. I love that Adam helps her to see that she isn't the monster everyone said she was. How awesome is it that both Adam and Juliette have a dream about a bird? Adam has a tattoo of said bird. Bird represents freedom. Freedom both Adam and Juliette need. I totally love this book!

Here is another great quote:

Yes, He has no qualms about doing what it takes to get what he wants. It made me sick what he was willing to do to that child just to test Juliette.

His name is Adam Kent...Warner called him Kent.
