Kind of disappointed with this one. Not as interesting as the first book.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, if you do!

Toni | Dark Reads | 35 comments I am making my way through Head Full Of Ghosts pretty quickly! I am really enjoying it.

I have a question, I am going to read Night Shift - Stephen King next, would you just mark it as reading the collection as a whole or each of the short stories as I read through?

If I am reading the book, I mark it as a whole. Even if I read one story here and there or read it straight through.

I do it as a whole, just like Nancy does. As a result, sometimes it takes me a while to make it through a collection.
That said though, I loved Night Shift and I hope you do too!

Sea of Rust by C. Robert Cargill
Sea of Rust
Took a little bit to get into it, but turned out to be a wonderful, poignant story. I highly recommend it.

I just ordered this online last week. I read it years ago, and can't remember much about it, but I do remember I loved it! Looking forward to reading it again!

I was a little bit disappointed with this one. I listened to it on audio though, so I wonder if that could have contributed? Also, I might have built it up too much due to some rave reviews that I read.

Maybe a little of both? It’s hard when everyone else loves a book and sets the bar high. I don’t listen to audio but it seems to be hit or miss. Some of my friends will read and then listen to the same book (or vice verse) at a later time and have a different reaction. Sometimes better sometimes not.

Kelly B (kellybey) | 630 comments Finished Wool Omnibus (Silo, #1) by Hugh Howey , which I thought was really good. I'm trying to convince my teen daughters to read it, because I know they'd love it.

Jennifer | 450 comments Jaws by Peter Benchley Jaws

I really enjoyed this one! I read it in 2 sittings.

The characters were really fleshed out (well, until the shark ate them har har) and so I was really invested in what happened to them and the town of Amity.

A book I should have read a long time ago and I'm glad I finally have. Added to my favourites shelf.

Angela Merkel ist Hitlers Tochter. Im Land der Verschwörungstheorien

A German work of non-fiction dedicated to exposing the mechanics behind conspiracy theories/beliefs, written in a very entertaining way.

Although I'm certain I got interested in this one because of reviews somewhere, the description of it had me a bit leary. The non-expectations may have helped me enjoy it more, although in the end I thought the story was really good.

Fire & Blood

Five stars, and I would still rate it at least four stars if I would be less easily impressed. I have to disagree with fellow readers who argue there is almost no suspense in it.

I wasn't certain how I would feel about it going into it. I've had a lot of bad luck with YA books lately, especially ones with romance thrown in the mix. However, I ended up really enjoying Six of Crows. I'll definitely check out the second book. Have you tried her Grisha Verse series?

Yeah I was skeptical but both books ended up being 5 stars for me! I've read the Grisha trilogy, it was okay but not as good as SoC. Excited for King of Scars though!
