SciFi and Fantasy Book Club discussion

I read a long time ago a sf series about a female lead character. She is taken by a man not entirely human to another dimension/world/planet...where a war is happening. She has powers. The ppl in the book have to be indoors when night comes. She is disguising her powers like she is undercover. In one book she loses her memories and she is badly wounded. The food is a real problem. And in the last book that i read she is going near a volcano .?? And smth bad is going to hapend....i know this is vague but pls help....is killing me...i have only flashes about it. Ty
