And oh damned : you seem to be in a book slump :-( When I am, I can go through my TBR and not daring trying anything, even if I feel it could be good !!

So far mine's been good but it's not even noon yet here so who knows what can happen...only good things probably since we're about to start our buddy read!!! and I've never met a Bo & Lucky book that I didn't love!

Of course, I didn't forget about our date. It's just Amazon that is messing with me. It's reloading on my reader ALL the books I bought for the past 6 years :-(
I managed to stop this insanity (the problem is still there, damned), but at least, Suspicion is on my Kindle and I can read.
I'm going to prepare some tea and I am with you in 5 minutes !!

Phew... what a day!!! LOL. I'm up since 6 a.m., went to a yummy breakfast with my friends, did some shopping for cat food and managed to take a short nap before running off to the stable to take care of the princess. I'm finally sitting on my a** and can't wait to get back to Lucky and Bo.

I'm ready whenever you are! :)

Oh my! I know this problem! That's why I have the WiFi on my Kindle switched off and I load all my books on it with Calibre. It takes ages when I switch my WiFi on until everything is loaded and updated :/

I'm still a bit upset with this Kindle issue, but ready to start.

I love my Kobo...Amazon doesn't even know I exist!!! I just take the book from my computer and put it onto my Kobo easy, peasy and if I'm feeling really lazy I don't even need to convert it from mobi to epub, although I usually do because I find my e-reader likes the epub format a bit better than most other formats.

Let's do it, then! :) And biiiiiig hug back!!!!

I reached the maximum storage capacity on my Kindle, so I had to delete the books for the ereader. The problem comes that, when I turn on the Wifi, it doesn't do an update but a whole synchronization, so, as all my books are on the cloud, but not on my reader anymore, it makes a synchronization for all the books in the cloud but not on my ereader ***grrrrrrrrrrrr*****
I'm going to call the support to see if I can manage the synchronization...I'm crossing my fingers I will get a solution because I don't want to stop using that function to simply download "NEW" books through Wifi

Yes, when I turn on my WiFi (which I have usually switched off) my Kindle loads and updates all the books ever bought which is a real pain in the ass. It updates the whole Amazon library. I guess if you have WiFi turned on all the time, it's not so much of a problem because the Kindle is always updated in small portions.

Really??? Never heard of that... I only turn WiFi on when I bought a book, but even when I forget to turn it off, it never downloads anything I don't want it to download...
On my new Kindle I only have a couple of books on my Kindle anyway, mostly those I'm currently reading.

Christelle sorry you are having issues with your Kindle, Kindle sucks sometimes, especially when downloading books. I prefer buying books from smashwords or publishers then sending to my Kindle. I also keep a back up on a hard drive, i have become paranoid ever since i read that a reader lost all her books that were stored on her Kindle due to some technical issues.

Hi Shile and good morning to you. So far my Saturday is lovely although the weather here kind of sucks...it's a murky dismal day, but I'm staying in and reading so it just makes the staying in all the more appealing.

Also I'm with you. I keep a copy of my books stored on a portable hard drive...for me it's mostly because I have a lot of books that came from companies that no longer exist...like Amber Allure, Books On Board, Silver Publishing, Loose Id, ARe, etc. etc. etc...

All this talking about pizza makes me hungry, dammit! LOL. I haven't eaten since breakfast, so I might take a quick dinner break soon. ;-)

LOL!! I'm paranoid as well! I am storing my books on my computer, on an external hard drive, in my Amazon Cloud, and in my Google Drive Cloud. I hope the chances of all of these failing are next to impossible, lol!
