A lot of American Gods went over my head, but I read it years ago, don't remember if I finished it, and I've forgotten most of it. I just don't get most of Gaiman's stuff, he's hit or miss for me, but if he's your style, go for it. I must say I am enjoying the TV series of American Gods.
The rest I haven't yet read.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've only read one of his book, and I'm not sure he's for me yet. I picked up a copy of The Rosie Project but I'm not sure I'll get to it before it's due.

I'm seeing some common opinions here. That helps a lot. Thanks!

Loved Major Pettigrew and the Rosie Project and I’m always happy to pick up a Backman or Gaiman book.

Little Paris Bookshop too - and it's on my Trim TBR list I believe. I'm such a sucker for those kinds of books, it will absolutely be read and several friends keep recommending it to me. It's inevitable.

Yes, My Grandmother is still my all time favourite Backman read and I've read EVERYTHING he has out in English, or at least the last time I checked a few months ago.
I really enjoyed The Snow Child (Thank you, Amy, for that one)
And I have My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry on my list to read as well. I just love his books. Oh, and the Marriage of Opposites! Alice Hoffman is so great.

I did not care for Circling the Sun"
Why didn't you like Circling the Sun? I had mixed feelings about Paris Wife (by the same author), so I've avoided her books for awhile. It might have also just been because Hemingway sounded like a total blowhard. Circling the Sun sounded more appealing so I decided to give it a chance. If it's number comes up I'll read it.
