Christine J Randall (goodreadscomcjrandall) | 4 comments Hello fellow Sword of Truth readers.

Just joined today. I haven't read the series for ages, not since it's been book-ended by Confessor and Warheart, and I reckon it's time. Then I can move on to Deaths Mistress.

But, should I begin with Confessor?

Amanda | 4 comments Confessor wraps things up for the Sword of Truth series. Personally, I would start there if you want to know how everything ends and leads into Death's Mistress and then carry on to the others.

Hope that helps.

When I said Confessor, I forgot I really meant The First Confessor. It was over four years since I read the series, and now I've just remembered how it ended.

Got all three of Nicci's books on my Android tablet now - nearly ready to go! Thanks Amanda.

Annie Grimm | 4 comments I am on Nicci's 3rd book. I love how the whole entire series keeps a reader on their toes. The whole series does not leave you confused on some of the backstories like some other series of different authors do. Terry keeps you hanging, but not confused. The First Confessor is a great story line that helps any 'new' reader understand the whole series as a whole. However, I would have loved for more story line in the series of that time period.

When I first read the series, I would read each volume a second time, right away. I was always so hungry to know what happened next that a lot of the clues would whizz right by me. The second time I could relax and read slower. But you're right, each book can be read by itself as they bring you up to speed pretty quick and leave you satisfied, but hungry for more.

Oops! LOL. I agree with Annie that the "First Confessor" is a great read for anyone new to the series. I personally loved the "First Confessor." It's actually one of my favorites and has some of my favorite characters. I wish he would write more on them.
I all the Nicci books in hardback. (I personally love the feel of the book in my hands.) I'm hoping to start reading them this weekend!

Me too. I would love to read a book about First Wizard Baraccus.
