Yes, a fictitious town located in one of the real places will work as long as the real place is mentioned in the book's metadata or you can provide a link to a reference that places the fictitious town in one of those locations.

The settings include two states, Oklahoma and Ohio. Will this be ok?

If I remember correctly, most of Ready Player One takes place inside the OASIS, which is imaginary. The part that takes place outside the OASIS is, I believe, in Ohio. So, I'm not sure how Oklahoma comes into play but it's been a while since I've read it.

The task requires that at least 50% of the book take place in Oklahoma. If you read it and that turns out to be the case, you'll need to provide a reference to back that up when you post.

That works.

Can I use I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer? This is a true crime novel about crimes that took place in California.

Thanks.

Yes, that would work.

As with all setting tasks, you'll need to read the book to determine for sure if the 50% requirement is met, but from the book's description it sounds as if it will work.

Aprilleigh (aprilleighlauer) | 1261 comments Could I get The Passion According to Carmela approved for being set in Cuba?

I haven't finished it yet, but everything so far, including reviews here, here, and here, indicates it's entirely set in Cuba.
