The alternates:
Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

It's my first time doing this challenge, so no to being captain.

I'm excited to get stared.

Hi!

This is my third time for this challenge. I have really enjoyed it in the past. I really don't want to be captain as I have too much going on. I'm looking forward to getting started.

I'm no good with coming up with team names, so I hope someone will come up with one.

I'm not the greatest either! I'll be thinking though!!

I believe this is my third or fourth time as well with this one. I did do the twice a week challenge at least once, maybe twice I always felt stressed to meet the deadlines!
I would prefer not to be captain since I'm not good with technology. Last round I rolled the die every week at midnight CT which is 1am in Connecticut since I am always up that late. Based on where we are all located I'm willing to be the roller again.

I like the Five Bookworms but the others are very clever also. I am not a late owl. I also did the twice a week challenge once and enjoyed it. I'm like you JoAnne too stressful for me. I felt that I was only reading for the challenge and other challenges began to suffer.

So so true Debbie. I'm not a challengaholic like some but besides this one I do about 4 yearly with two having monthly requirements and one that is done quarterly.
I also write reviews for two sites, Romancing-the-Book.com and RomanceJunkies.com and have deadlines for them as well. I also work full time in a school office and have a husband (of 33 years) and a 23 year old son who works full time after graduating college in May 2013 and is living home at least for now.

Some pretty good names there, JoAnne. I agree with Debbie and like Five Bookworms

I started doing challenges this year and I've been liking them. I'm doing the twice week one too.

I'm in the UK, so midnight central US is 6am with me.

Let's see what Minttu and Amy have to say when they weigh in re team names and if one of them is willing to be Captain.

Hi everyone!

This will be my second time doing the challenge. I really enjoyed my first time and am looking forward to this! The two books a week version is out of the question for me, I just don't read fast enough :)

I'm from Finland so the time zones are a bit different for me. I'm a single mom of two. My daughter just started first grade and my son is 4. Reading is my way to relax after the hectic day :D

Ok - looks like Amy is our captain. Let us know what you want the others to do if anything. Debbie for Co-Captain? Me to roll (or not)?

Did we agree on our name? Are we the Five Bookworms? This way Amy can supply the info to Jenne.

Me too, Danielle. I just finished a book at lunch and am waiting until we roll to begin another one!

I'm also waiting. Reading a library book half-heartedly but I'm anticipating the new book for this challenge too much to enjoy the other one :)

Hope I can use one of the books I have to review instead of reading an additional book.

I rolled a 5 (4 + 1) so by Thursday night we need to read a 5th book in a series or the alternate which is Title R (book that starts with an R).

Don't forget books have to be a minimum of 150 pages.
I'm going to search now and should be able to post before I go off to work if not shortly.

I am going with the alternate and reading the ruines

I going to start my book today. I was doing the wheel a thon challenge and it didn't fit and as that challenge just ended, I can get to it now.

I won't start mine until probably Monday but will have my review posted sometime Thursday. Looks like a quick read.
We were out all day today and probably most of tomorrow.

I am about 85% done with my book. I won't have much time today but will finish tomorrow.

I will have my book finished by the end of the night and will post it on here!
