by Yukio Mishima 166 pages (this was just translated to English!)

No, it must be other members doing the seconding.

I will 2nd A Study in Scarlet! I have ALWAYS wanted to read this one. --Jen from Quebec :0)

I'll nominate Lolita (417 p.).
One of our nominations, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, has a very similar name to another popular book, The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells.
We have been getting seconds for both titles and I didn't want anyone to be confused about what book they were seconding. So, if you did mean for your vote to go towards The Invisible Man , please let me know!

I second The Three Musketeers and Lolita.

I also nominate The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck (479 pages).

Books that qualify for this category:
1. Must have a publication date 1969 or before. For newer books, please make your suggestion on the Modern Classic/Popular Reads thread.
2. Have not been previously ready by this group. Previously read books can be nominated in the Bookshelf Catchup thread. See the group's Bookshelf for previously read books.
3. Be reasonably well-read to fit the "Everyone Has Read This but Me" claim.
Not a hard and fast rule, but please try to limit your nominations to one book per category. But please do second any that interest you! The number of seconds determine poll inclusion.
>>> Attention, please: We will be featuring page numbers in the poll, so please include page numbers in your nomination if possible.
Nominations end Midnight April 16.
