M.H. Elrich (mhelrichbooks) Hi Lauren-
So excited to be reading and reviewing again! I did want you to know that I've already reviewed the book I was assigned for Session 2. I would be happy to review any other book on the list though :)

Ann | 50 comments Lauren & Sean, Thanks much! Yes I found it. I was looking at the most recent posts, but it makes sense to put it at the beginning of the thread.
Happy Reading Everyone!

Lauren, thanks for contacting me via my email. I would like a Word copy of your book, if that's possible. I tried replying to your email but it was undeliverable, so I guess this is the place to share information.

Problem two fixed. I hope. I had to swap you with an author from the other genre subgroup because everyone from fantasy has already reviewed each other. lol. Hope that works now.

Thanks for your review, Reggi—glad you enjoyed it. I did, too!

By the way, this is to let all you know that I'll be helping Lauren with moderating this session, as she has a lot on her plate at the moment.

For our newer participants, maybe I should add that I started these review sessions last year, and moderated the first two. I've been delighted to see how they've grown and developed since then. (Just in case anyone's wondering, "Who's this guy?"!)

So feel free to message me if problems arise. Lauren is still around, so you can also contact her; but be aware that she may need to pass things on to me if you catch her at a difficult moment.

Enjoy reading and reviewing!

I'll post the goodreads link when I figure out how to do it! lol

message 75: by Steve (new)

Steve Pillinger | 517 comments Mod
Thanks, Marion. I'm afraid, though, that the link you posted leads to a "Create Review" page for that book, not your actual review.

For Amazon reviews, the easiest is to look at the email they send to notify you that the review is live: near the bottom of that is a link labelled "See your full review". Follow that, and then copy the address of that page to post here in this thread.

Failing that, go to the book page, follow the link to see all reviews, and click on the heading of your review so that you end up on a page with just your review. That's the address to copy and paste here.

For your Goodreads review, I find it easiest to locate the book among My Books and click on the small "View" link at the right. That brings you to a page with just your review—copy and paste the address of that page.

I hope this helps.

Joanne Rolston Here's my review of The Jesus Boy.
Goodreads:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/review/RL1BJHV...

Thanks so much for the opportunity to participate in this group, I have read so many fine books.
Unfortunately Amazon have taken my book down from Kindle this month without a satisfactory explanation so I can fix it.
They say "due to content that violates their Terms and Conditions and may disappoint our customers" and they won't discuss it further.
Last year they banned me from being a reviewer and I managed to get that sorted out, but this time I can't ring and speak to a person. Amazon are turning into a nightmare for me.
I still want to be a reviewer but I am left weighing my options about reviews for my (now) non-Kindle eBook.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Kind regards,
Jo

Try publishing it on Smashwords. They still have a mobi file option as well as many others. They don't do print books, though, just ebooks. I don't know if Amazon will list it from there or not, but it should still be able to show up in Goodreads.

Hi Ann,
I had the same problem with Amazon last year. Fortunately you can ring and speak to a person to make an appeal and get reinstated.
Send me a message and I'll try and find the links I used last year to make the phone call.
Kind regards,
Jo

Thanks Lara, they had some grinder process the formatting of the eBook had to go through which seemed way too hard back in 2015, but it looks like I need to revisit that.

Thanks for your review, Reggi—and it's no problem that you're early!

Just one thing, though: your Amazon link is just for the Sorcerer's Bane book page in general. There are 31 reviews, and you are on the second reviews page, listed as "Amazon Customer". It took me some careful comparing of the opening lines with your Goodreads review before I found it!

This is why we encourage reviewers please to post a link to the actual review, not just the book page. You can click on the title of your review to have it displayed on its own page—then post the address of that page in this thread.

But above all, thanks for taking part and sharing your review!

Slightly off-topic, but Smashword's meatgrinder has become much simpler recently. Also, I do formatting for Smashwords, if you need the help.
