Hi Steve,
Just an update that I'll need an extra week or so to finish my review of Andrew's novel (since I only received the book in the last few days). Thanks. I'll post ASAP. -Sean

Thank you for the honest review, Marie! Also, thank you for your kindness in reviewing my book on such short notice, and for your initiative in tackling it in a short time frame. :)

Thanks, M.H. for going the extra mile! And Rose, for managing the one review despite "life happening"!

And a quick note to the other eight participants who haven't yet submitted their round 2 review: I know some have extenuating circumstances, but maybe others thought the session ended on 31st. The actual closing date was 25th, but if you were working towards the 31st, you have one more day!

Please do try to get your reviews in so as not to leave our authors short. Thanks!

message 159: by Ken (new)

Ken Hansen | 12 comments I did think the session ended on July 31st. I also did not receive the book from the author until mid July, so I guess that counts as extenuating circumstances. Nevertheless, sorry for the delay.

Here is my review of Tony Breeden's "Soulbright":

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I have also submitted this review to Amazon (as knjhans), but it is currently processing.

Gordon | 17 comments My apologies also, I thought we finished on the 31st. By agreement with Lauren and the author, I’m reading and reviewing both The Mindruler and The Restorers (book 1 and 2). My review of The Mindruler is
here

Amozon.co.uk pending. I will review The Restorers by the end of August. I’m glad we did it this way, I think the books will make much more sense in order.

Thanks for the helpful review, Gordon! I very much appreciate your doing both books, though the second one goes beyond this review session. (To be clear for others, Gordon wanted to read my first book before the second, so he's reviewed The Mindruler instead of The Restorers as his round 2 review.)

Speaking for the moment with my mod's hat on, the Goodreads page for this review is https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... (added because your link was to the book page, which has quite a few reviews).

It would be good if you could give a similar link just to the review page on Amazon when you're able to add that.

Thanks for taking part in this session!

Hi Allen—your book sounds fascinating. Unfortunately this review session is now almost at an end, but I hope you'll be able to join a future session. Participants commit to review two books over a two month period, and author–reviewer pairings are set by the mod overseeing the session. This was the first time there's also been some choice as to which subgenre of Christian spec. fic. a person prefers to review.

So we hope we'll see you next time round—do watch the group notices!

Hi Steve,
As I discussed with you and with Andrew regarding his novel, "Adamantine Disclosure," I'll be completing his review in the near future based on receiving an updated manuscript from Andrew.

Thank you, Andrew, for allowing me to read your novel.

Apologies for being late with this review, especially as the leader of the group, but I had unexpected issues during my travels that prevented me from meeting the deadline. I made Steve aware beforehand.

Anyway, here's my Goodreads review of The Restorers: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

The Amazon one is in review.

Thanks for bringing us up to date, Sean. You and Andrew have been working together to improve his book, which is one of the goals of these review sessions. Thank you!

OK, it took a bit longer than planned. Anyway, my review of The Restorers is now up on:
Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Amazon.co.uk: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-...

(This time I'm not trying to get the links in on a poky tablet whilst on holiday, so I hope they will work better).

Thanks, Steve, the series is an impressive achievement so far, and I look forward to finding out how it ends.

Thanks for dropping by! When we start up another review circle, we will do a shout out for authors and reviewers. We will make sure to send an email to all the members. At that time, just let us know in the thread that you want to join. Feel free to share your book in the book promotion section of this group and add it to our library in the meantime!
