Hey everyone! I've been super busy lately so I skipped a bunch of Top Three weeks (that usually end up more like Top Three Fridays than Thursdays). Going back in time a couple of weeks, did anyone read any great books in April?

Shae | 372 comments Reading time was limited in April, but still managed to squeeze in a few great books :-)

1. The Blade Itself - Listened to this one, thought it was excellent!
2. Age of Assassins - This was really hard to put down.
3. Spellslinger - Wasn't sure if I would totally get into this at first, but ended up quite enjoying it, loved the sarcastic squirrel cats.

Tammie | 5952 comments 1. I continued on with the Fallen Empire series and read Honor's Flight and Starseers. What a fun series.
2. Holy Sister It was a good conclusion to the trilogy.
3. Surprisingly, I'm including a romance in my top 3. I loved that the main character was disabled. Finding Liberty

1) The Spirit Thief -- great light start, to what has slowly become a pretty dark series...

2) Guns of the Dawn -- surprisingly great standalone fantasy, from slow beginnings...

3) Corpies -- great standalone spinoff of the Super Powereds series...

Bill | 2150 comments 1. Heart's Blood by Juliet Marillier - from Tammie’s top three standalone list. I could never really tell if this was a beauty and the beast retelling but if it was it was also really original.
2. Deadhouse Landing by Ian C. Esslemont - just made me want to start Malazan all over again.
3. Fledgling by Octavia E. Butler - kind of disturbing since the Mc looked 12 but was seducing people but other than that the story was fantastic.

I'm so glad you liked Heart's Blood. It supposedly is inspired by Beauty and he Beast, but it is really original.
