Here is another review. I couldn't resist.
Every year I try to read a book that will help and/or inspire me when I start a new school year as a teacher. Teaching is a rational exercise, but also involves a good deal of emotion. This year I chose a book about "emotional vampires". Haha, it may seem like a strange choice, but it did give me quite a few insights. Warning as the author says in every section " Always remember that attempting psychotherapy on someone you know will make you both sicker".
It is a surprisingly funny book. It takes a lighthearted look at a few personality types and helps you see the world through their eyes. One of my favorite pieces of advice is in the section titled "How to Recognize Crazy Ideas":
"The angrier a Paranoid becomes when you suggest getting a second opinion, the more you need one. A good rule of thumb is: if you can get two Obsessive-Compulsives to accept it, you probably should also."
I gave it 4 stars. It lost a star just because it isn't Jane Eyre or Rebecca.

For the Young and other age-related styles and tasks, we require actual birth/death years. It is the way the scorekeeping database works.

Rats, rats, rats. I can't believe I missed this is a YA assignment and a Lexile of 770. This doesn't qualify for Ratings Game. Back to the drawing board for this range. :-(
I need to move it to 20.10 and a combo for 20.6, so at least I can salvage something. Kate, I have renumbered my claim in 338.
EDIT: In case anyone is reading this. Where was my mind that I thought I could claim a combo for a low lexile? 20 points only please, and thank you.

Yes...my "20.2" was supposed to be "20.1". The book was published in 1992 during Iris Murdoch's lifetime.
